After the disappointing last week episode. I had no hopes for this one but they surprised me 😆
So I am an happy camper this week.
Let me start with the things I liked.
After all the speculations about the cliffhanger from last week. I should say it was a plesant surprise to see that there was no rift between the brothers. I was hoping they would atleast act like they had a rift but apparently that was not the case either. Klaus is the type to react on Impulse so I know for sure that he won't harm elijah later. Atleast I hope he won't.
Also I think aurora hates only Elijah afterall he was the one who compelled them and separated her from Klaus. In the end I think Klaus would have to kill her to protect Elijah. After all Family above all.
Love that my favourite Mikaelson Freya got plenty of screentime. I especially liked her sarcastic questioning of her brothers after witnessing their fight. I like her. She is the oldest so other obviously never try to protect her like they do for Rebecca. They actually trust her to make her own decisions.
Finally Rebecca is back and that to in her original body. I loved it but ofcourse I knew it would be a cameo. Come on decide what to do with her character it either white fence house or hope baby sitter or resurrection of Kol. They always find reasons to fill in Rebecca absence and now it Aurora hostage.
Loved to see the awesome bex back the fight scene was good. Poor her outnumbered. And I am liking this sister bond. They actually act like a normal sister. While I have yet to see them all together as a normal family. I wish we get a scene like the selfie one this time with freya. Few moments of family time would make my day.
While the plot of strix, Tristan, lucien and Aurora didn't interest me. Like we all know they are going to introduce a new weapon which can kill them yada yada. We seen plenty of story lines like this but still the prophesy factor is intriguing. So I am just hoping to resolve that one mystery.
Now on to the things I didn't like..
It no brainer Of course it belong to none other that Hayley. Actually this whole I can take down an 800 year old vampire because I am the female lead makes me hates everything about it. I know she is a hybrid but even Tyler was not that powerful against a hundred year old vampires but here she is fighting against someone who 8 times her age.
I know originals is a cw shows and it all about romance. But come on how many epic romance do we have to see. We have elena doppelganger, we have Katherine, we have aurora, caroline and Cami. Come on Klaus pick one. I am not complaining the romance per se what I am saying is I hate the fact that when they establish a new love line they make it look like they are epic. Only to introduce a new such love line next season. So I wish they toned down those lovelines epicness a little bit.
