Start with the original trilogy. They are some of the best movies ever made. The pinnacle of blockbuster film-making and story telling.
Star Wars.
Empire Strikes Back.
Return of the Jedi.

Its a trilogy so the events span over the course of three movies. Watch those three in that order. And preferably the original cuts, those are the best.

My favorite is Empire Strikes back. Its perfect from start to finish. A bit dark and edgy; brilliantly paced and amazingly told. Loved it.

Then the prequels came and ruined everything. CGI fests, ridiculous characters (yes its you Jar Jar) and below par story telling.


The Force Awakens so far looks magical. I hope it lives up to the hype; because the trailers have gotten my expectations sky high. Haven't been this excited for a movie since I saw the trailers for Return of the King and The Dark Knight on the big screen (by the time BvS come out, it will in the list as well). The tone, the setting; the score; its Star Wars of the old; everything you loved about the original. I cant wait any more; so hyped. You better not ruin it JJ.

The best thing is how two teaser, two trailers and several TV spots later we know next to nothing about the movie. Whats the plot, what happened in all those years?? Nothing. When was the last time you went into a movie with no idea about whats it going to be.

Brilliant job with the marketing from the makers. Wish more movies follow this route.
