I am surprised nobody has picked this up yet. Rimi laughing is not because she is shameless. Some people react differently to situations. In Rimi's case it is quite clear that when she is uncomfortable or anxious or nervous, she laughs. It is her coping mechanism. I relate to it because I have a similar personality.

My mum hates it... She totally flips... It is not something I can control... Whenever there is a charged or anxious moment or when I realize I have made a mistake, I laugh or crack a joke.

We need to understand everybody handles situations differently and there is no correct reaction... There is just reactions.

I have been trying to avoid this, but the amount of flake Rimi is getting for reacting differently... For hiding her feeling behind a laughter is surprising.

Looks like majority of the people have not heard of nervous laughter or of people hiding behind laughter.

Edit

There have been times where I have laughed and yet deep down thinking oh shit. To know ones real reaction to a situation read their eyes.

OMG.. Rimi's laughter is anything but nervous 😆 It is a laugh that says I am better and smarter than u all. And i am getting what I want.. Money without working. Rimi sen has no redeemable qualities. She is rude, unprofessional and arrogant... All for nothing!

I completely agree with you TM.

In my pov, today's laugh indicated that she knew each housemate very well and what they really thought of her. She knew KSP were not her friends. She also laughed because the entire house looked foolish to bully on Rimi along with the host. But her attitude said she doesn't give a damn. When salman was commenting on her personal life she laughed it off. I felt Rimi was hiding her feelings in the laugh.

Chalo atleast i am not the one who thinks so
Kisi ne toh samjha
I always felt k with every word thrown at her she gets broken but choose to laugh it off
Even i hate crying in front of ppl cos i feel k ppl will consider me weak n take advantage so my mechanism is i show damn care attitude n laughs off every situation chahe koi mere baare mai kuch bhi soche

It was her shield

And this was the very reason to like her, i am almost like her n can connect wid her so i supported her n loved <3

I've always said from the beginning that laughing is Rimi's defense mechanism. She is not a bold person by nature so she can't give back. Instead , she laughs.

That's what I felt too .

Everyone only equates emotion with what they have seen or themselves express..
Laughing is always equated to happy or making fun of . ..There are more personalities in the world beyond what we live and some laugh to when nervous/hurt or anxious..

Felt bad today ,there are moments in this show where her face falls for an instant when she is hurt and she masks it ..

When Mandana was in SR and she said about bank balance and Kish said something curtly one instant her face fell and today when Keith reprimanded for laughing one instant that hurt was there ..
If she does not want let the world feed on her emotions more power to her ..

agree, I think it is a defense mechanism as well.
I also think she has some complexes as well e.g. regarding her looks and education.

I had said this long time back that Rimi's laugh, especially when she's being attacked, is a defence mechanism.
But most ppl simply take things at face value. Same with some of the things she said in the show. It was more a way to get ppl off her back.

Most ppl when they r criticized argue back, but Rimi's way was simply agreeing to their take, saying negatively abt herslef and if dis didn't work, her standard 'main aisi hi hoon'.
