I loved the portrayal of Ram. You can read it here

I don't know much about Jabali. Hence I don't think it is right for me to discuss about it or Sita going to battlefield. I have my own reservations regarding this. But I will not discuss that also. I will put 2 other important points I observed in the episode which can be food for thought.
First Jabali is aethist. He says God resides in human, if everyone is God why Pooja is necessary. And as usual he is rebuked by traditional people. And then Lakshman raises another question seeing Jabali. How he got so many followers. If Jabali got so many followers the reason is because people are not able to see God. They just see humans and they don't believe in the idols in the temples. How will you prove to them God exists. In fact some people are above others. Not by birth, not by caste. But by actions. What does Ram's eyes see when he enters Ayodhya. Not the opulent buildings but the beggar lady and a poor man pushing the cart. He who sees the pain of others and thinks of doing something for it is God. Unless the pain is alleviated, unless people feel their grievances are addressed how will they see God. Yes Jabali will see God but in the form of the human. He will understand why pooja is needed and why some are poojaniye. The answer to his belief is in Ram, and to give answer to Jabali Ram will not have to be angry like those priests. Following the traditions he can prove Jabali wrong by his actions. And that is real victory. Again application of the learning. Instead of rebuking a thought we have to understand why such a thought exists. And how that thought can be removed. There has to be someone who understands both sides.
Second part superstition. Janak says if you need to have blind faith, why not have it for something good. Yes Nagdevata came. Why cant it be taken as the symbol of protecting Mithila, or protecting Shiv Dhanush. Same is the case with us. When we try to go out we get a small injury, or some small block comes. We curse it, we think our journey wont be fruitful. But why cant we think that injury or that block is nature's way of protecting us from some big calamity.
I have read an account of 9/11 survivor who told just because she had a shoe bite, she had to stop at the chemists to get a band aid and that 15 min delay on that day was her life saver.
And I feel the show will also show Nagdevata coming in a positive light only. But for us whenever obstacles come, please understand it is nature's way of telling us, I am protecting you. Just tolerate this. Be thankful to nature for small obstacles.
