Anupamaa: Anu pushes Rahi towards the Kotharis' side before she can choose

In tonight's episode of Anupamaa, Parag finally lowers his guard and apologises to Prarthana, admitting that he failed to truly understand her emotions. He urges her to stop taking any drastic step, insisting that his intentions are only driven by concern.

Anupama Calls Out Parag’s Manipulation

Anupama steps in immediately and calls out Parag for emotionally cornering Prarthana under the guise of love and responsibility. Parag requests Anupama to give him a chance to speak privately with Prarthana and emotionally states that his entire life has revolved around her and Prem. He argues that since he has always stood by Prarthana's choices, he has every right to stop her now.

Anupama strongly counters him and accuses him of manipulating Prarthana's vulnerability. Parag reacts sharply, reminding Anupama that he never interrupts her and demands the same respect. He expresses worry about Prarthana's future and brings Ansh into the discussion, claiming that despite being given a fair chance, Ansh failed to prove himself.

Parag questions Ansh's capability to be a father when he could not succeed as a husband. Gautam immediately backs Parag's statement, further escalating the tension. Anupama retorts by asking both Parag and Gautam whether they have suddenly become fortune tellers who can predict the future. This exchange pushes Parag over the edge, and he loses his temper.

Rahi and Prem Stand Up for Anupama

Rahi intervenes and firmly asks Parag to stop speaking disrespectfully to Anupama, while Prem also stands by Rahi, making it clear that they will not tolerate Anupama being insulted. Parag, however, turns emotional again and pleads with Prarthana, claiming that she will never find happiness at the Shah house, which he labels as overly dramatic. He proposes a compromise, asking her to stay with the Kotharis until her delivery, after which they can take a final call. Prarthana finally speaks her truth and reveals that she stayed with the Kotharis only because of Khyati. Parag takes this as an insult and accuses her of acting as if she has been doing them a favour all along.

Vasundhara and Meeta step in and ask Prarthana to stop creating further issues. Meeta warns her against trusting people she refers to as outsiders. This is when Anil intervenes and firmly states that the Shahs are not strangers but Prarthana's own family. He questions Meeta's logic and asks why she herself continues to live in the Kothari house if in-laws are to be considered unknown. Anil further points out that Vasundhara is quick to impose rules but lacks the wisdom to follow or implement them fairly.

Prarthana Breaks Her Silence About the Kotharis

Parag once again asserts his authority and claims that he has complete rights over Prarthana, demanding that she stay back. Prarthana, standing her ground, clearly states that she will be genuinely happy only with the Shahs. Leela reassures everyone that Ansh is responsible and capable of taking care of Prarthana. Hasmuk adds that Kinjal and Ansh will ensure Prarthana's well-being. Pari, Ishani, and Paritosh also come forward to support Ansh, while Anil openly takes the Shah family's side. Enraged, Parag snaps at Anil and rudely asks him to shut his mind.

What follows is a full-blown confrontation between both families. Vasundhara declares that Parag has already made the decision and that Prarthana will stay with them, no matter what. Anupama refuses to accept this and decides to take Prarthana with her. As tempers rise, Rahi attempts to diffuse the situation and unexpectedly supports the Kotharis. She suggests that Prarthana should remain with them until delivery and that decisions about the future can be taken later. This shocks everyone, especially when Vasundhara accuses Rahi of trying to impress the Kotharis so they forget about Divakar. Rahi is left stunned by this accusation.

Vasundhara Forces Her Decision on Everyone

The situation turns physical when Vasundhara forcefully asks Anupama to let go of Prarthana's hand and pulls her towards herself, losing her balance in the process. Parag immediately blames Anupama, accusing her of pushing Vasundhara. Anupama firmly asks Vasundhara to tell the truth about what actually happened. Instead of calming down, Parag accuses Anupama of disrespecting his mother and announces that the time has come to take a final, irreversible decision.

Parag then issues an ultimatum, asking everyone present to choose sides. He declares that anyone who stands with Anupama will have to cut all ties with the Kothari family forever. Without hesitation, the entire Shah family stands by Anupama, joined by Raja and Prem. Parag then puts Rahi on the spot and asks her to choose between him and Anupama. Leela and Raja urge Rahi to choose Anupama, reminding her that Prem is already on that side. Rahi is left conflicted and shaken, while Vasundhara confidently believes that Rahi will ultimately side with Anupama.

Prarthana Stumbles, Anupama Steps In Once Again

Anupama, showing immense maturity, asks Rahi and Prem not to choose her but to choose each other and stay united. Leela and Hasmuk echo the same sentiment, encouraging them to prioritise their happiness. Meanwhile, Gautam fumes in silence over Prarthana leaving with Ansh. Mahi tries to pacify him by reminding him that the baby will still be connected to their family in the future.

The episode ends on an emotional note as Anupama warmly welcomes Ansh and Prarthana into the Shah house. Suddenly, Prarthana loses her balance, but Anupama quickly supports her and prevents a fall. Leela scolds Ansh for being careless, but Prarthana immediately defends him, clarifying that it was her own mistake and that Ansh was not at fault.
