Shaan says Saregamapa Challenge is a serious, musical competition. Everyone's worked hard for almost a year on this. And I believe that being respectful is being truly Indian. We have some senior people on the show -- the mentors, judges, etc. I'd rather be stiff and boring that be disrespectful. We do have some lighter moments too during the show. The thing about Fame Gurukul is that it's very heavily advertised. Even about their judges...With all due respect to Javed Saab, he a lyricist. Shankar Mahadevan, of course, is an all-rounder. There's more reality than music there. Even on the show ... That Qazi guy is still there. For us, music is priority.

I think SHAAN is much more qualified to say that than you guys who are SCHMOOZING QAZI!!!!

And besides, if he doesnt show his loyalty to HIS show rather than FAME GURUKUL - than who will?

While I am a big Qazi and RR supporter for FJ, I dont think Shaan was making fun of qazi, he was saying that FJ is more abt performing and is a reality show and I agree with that.Some people have called FG as a musical competition while I respectfully disagree.... If it was a musical competition, they would not have spiced it up by all the drama and contestant votes and mock fights, but just selected judges which are knowledgable to music and selected the best singers. somthing what they do in saregama in zee..but the fact that some of the better singers left already shows its more of a game show with music as background and where charisma and performance is important...the so called singers if they keep harping on them being trained or better such as arpita and rex, if they really want just singing should compete in saregama to see where they stand...

FG is not just abt singing, because saregama has 100 times better singer than the bachhas at the gurukul...they want a jodi which is a good mix of singing and performing....and qazi and rr provide that besides showing the willingness to learn and being good human beings.....

Given that Sa Re show is all about music. Singers there have better voices since they are trained for year..Also biggest diff is that they have separate gurus..here we have Padma and Prashant only..
Also Sa Re Ga Ma doesn't always select best judges with all due respect..Daler Mehndi??? since when did he become singer???? His voice sucks big time..He has attitude problem and only reason he is succesful is music beats. If you listen to him w/o music you can tell how GOOOOD a singer he is..
Jagjeet Singh is good ghazal singer. he is not all rounder! If in any show. you are going to make contestants sing hindi movie songs, get judges from that line only!
