My Imperfect Mr. Perfect - Chapter 29
Arnav walked back into the living room smirking, as he knew that Khushi would be really jealous right now with the attention he was giving Sheetal.
But when he went into the living room, his smirk was wiped off.
Khushi. Was. Gone.
The bangles he brought for her lay on the floor, broken with her blood stained on them...
"Khushi!!!"
*********************************************************
Arnav felt his whole world crashing down.
The panic that clawed at his heart mercilessly threatened to break him down completely.
Arnav fell on his knees, unable to take the pain that engulfed him.
"Khushi!!!!!" he called again, hoping against hopes that Khushi would just walk in through that door, saying that it was all just a prank.
But his hopes were dashed when nothing of the sort happened.
Instead, Sheetal who had heard him shout came rushing towards him, panicking as she saw him down on his knees.
"Arnav?! What happened Arnav? Where's Khushi?!" she asked, panicking.
The Arnav who had once been able to take on any situation without a flinch, now sat not knowing how to bear this pain that threatened to rip his entire being apart.
Sheetal went down onto her knees and lay a hand on Arnav's shoulders, "Arnav what happened?"
She shook his shoulders when he didn't respond. "Arnav!"
Sheetal began to panic as she saw Arnav sit numbly. He wasn't responding to her at all.
But then... a lone tear rolled down his cheek...
"They took Khushi," he barely whispered.
"What?! No ways!!!" Sheetal exclaimed, shocked by his response.
But then his one look towards the broken bangles on the floor gave her all the answers she needed.
"Then what are you doing here?!!!" Sheetal exclaimed, shaking his shoulder.
Arnav looked at her confused.
"You idiot!! Go get her!!!" Sheetal gave him a slight push on the back, urging him to get up and go.
Arnav looked at her as if that thought hadn't even occurred to him.
And yes, it hadn't. The thought that Khushi was gone had made him panic so much that he couldn't remember anything else. Not the fact that he was a police officer with a huge number of resources to use in such a situation. Not that he could just get up this very second and start looking for his Khushi. And not even the fact that he'd secretly got a small GPS tracking device sewn onto each of her tops, and even the sari that he'd bought yesterday.
After she left RM last time and almost got killed, he'd made sure that each of her tops had a tiny GPS tracking device sewn on, well away from sight. Even Khushi didn't know about this as the device was extremely small and light-weighted, and it was usually disguised as a sequin or sewn between the materials of the top, so even she didn't notice.
This sudden but crucial realisation gave Arnav a new breath of life...
Arnav sighed in relief as hope spread across his mind, body and soul, lifting off the weight that had burdened him.
He got up with determination rushing through his veins. He stood tall, confidence oozing from his stance - ASR was back in his full glory.
He turned to Sheetal saying, "I'll come back with Khushi," and then briskly walked out of the door.
Arnav set out in his SUV and immediately started making phone calls, ordering officers at the police station to track down Khushi's location from the device immediately, and send out a set of policemen to surround the criminals and catch them. He then called Aman, informing him of the whole situation and giving him a set of instructions.
Once done with Aman, he called the other officers again, and they informed him of the location that Khushi was at, as well as the path that was taken on the way.
*****************************************************************
Khushi on the other hand, felt extremely frightened with the events that were taking place...
All she knew was that one minute, she had been sitting down on the sofa, feeling extremely hurt over Arnav's lack of attention on her, and then the next second there were several hands holding onto her, completely immobilising her - her mouth was covered, her arms and hands were held tightly, breaking her bangles in the process, and then there were hands gripping her legs too.
Soon she felt herself being lifted up and being rushed out of the door and into a car that had been waiting outside the house. She had struggled in their grip, trying to free herself, but Khushi didn't stand a chance when it was her battling against so many of them.
When the people finally let go of her, she found that her hands were tied up behind her.
"How are you Khushiji?" asked a familiar voice that came from right beside her.
Khushi turned around to find Karan - no, Shyam - creepily smiling at her.
Hey Devi Maiyya! Him?! Why did I have to get caught by the one person I never wanted to see in my life?! At least that L75 would only try to kill me, but this guy...!!!! Raksha karna Devi Maiyya!' Khushi sent up a quick prayer, before turning to Shyam.
"Karanji!" Khushi greeted enthusiastically. And then she let out a big sigh of relief, "Devi Maiyya ka laakh laakh shukar hai ki aap aagaye hume bachaane keliye! (Thank Devi Maiyya that you've come to save me!) I knew Devi Maiyya wouldn't abandon me! And see - you are here to save me," she said smiling gratefully.'
"Look at what these stupid people have done, tying me up! It's hurting a lot - please help me take it off na," Khushi requested, struggling with the ropes.
Whatever Shyam had been expecting from Khushi, it hadn't been this. He had expected her to cry and beg him to let her go, or even scream and shout at him, but here she didn't even know his real identity yet.
Shyam had planned to get Khushi by hook or crook a long time ago. The second he'd seen her, his male organs had been excited as hell.
From that day onwards, not a single day had passed without him thinking about the moment when Khushi's body would be under his own, completely under his control. He couldn't wait for the day he would get to ravish that body of hers and enjoy every inch of her.
But something had stopped him from treating her the way he did all the other girls he had lusted after.
All the other girls he had lusted after had only held his interest temporarily - once he'd had enough of them he threw them away like trash.
But with Khushi, he knew he didn't want to do that. Because he knew that what he had for Khushi was almost an obsession.
It was sexual desire that he knew he would never be rid of. Somehow he knew that he would never get enough of her.
And so he'd met her as Karan and got himself into her good books.
He took months to build up his friendship with her and had planned to make her fall in love with him.
And no, he didn't believe in love - he thought it was just bulls***. But he knew that a lot of young girls these days - including Khushi - believed in that rubbish. And so he'd wanted to use that in his favour to lure her into his web. After all, if he was going to keep her with him forever, it would always be better if she was willing - it would just make things a lot easier for him.
Things were going just as planned, but what Shyam hadn't anticipated was Arnav Singh Raizada interfering in his carefully made plan.
That day, Shyam had been tired of waiting for months to get Khushi - he'd never had to wait to get a girl. Every girl he'd wanted had been there in front of him with one click of his fingers. But with Khushi, he had waited months... and it had got to a point when he just couldn't wait anymore, so he'd ordered his goons to kidnap Khushi that day.
But then she'd jumped into the water at the bridge, and the goons had to leave when they realised another person had reached the place too.
HAnd after that, for weeks he didn't have any idea where Khushi had disappeared off to. He'd searched the whole of Lucknow and he'd even tried to get information out of her family, but it seemed that even they had no idea where Khushi had gone.
And then all of a sudden one day the idea of police interference popped up in his mind - his crimes weren't hidden from the police after all. They didn't have evidence, but they knew of his deeds. They always tried to keep track of his actions and find evidence against him, but he never let their interference get that far. But it could have been that this time they managed to find out about his interest in Khushi and that they used that information some way in their favour.
And when he followed up this thought by checking with his ally in the police force, he found out that and officer called Arnav Singh Raizada had been chosen to protect Khushi and the last thing that had been noted down was that they were both staying in the officer's house.
So he had sent a group of his goons to go and check on Khushi, but it turned out that neither Arnav nor Khushi were in sight. The only person who was seen around the house was Arnav's grandmother and a servant.
Shyam had been extremely frustrated at this and so he made his next move and did a check on Arnav Singh Raizada. But unfortunately there was very little information that he could get about him except that he was a police officer and that he had a close colleague called Aman. Arnav had somehow managed to keep all other information private about himself and how he'd managed that was still a mystery to Shyam.
Then Shyam took the only route that he had left - which was to lurk around Aman's house, hoping to find information about Khushi and Arnav. For days he waited and waited and finally, today he found her.
He had thought that by now Arnav would have filled her in on his real identity and what he did with girls - but he was shocked to see that was not the case.
Seeing this as an opportunity, Shyam took off the ties on her hand, "Of course Khushiji, how could I not come for you?" he said, smiling lovingly at her.
"But you've got one thing wrong Khushiji. These are my people - I found out that you were being chased by a goon called Shyam Jha and that a police officer had taken you under his custody so that he could protect you. I was happy to hear that you were safe, but it was a day later that I found out that the officer who was protecting' you is not a good person at all."
"I found out that he himself misuses the girls who he takes under his wings. As soon as I found out I hired these people for your safety as well as mine. I instructed them to bring you into the car nicely and safely, but they must have misunderstood and handled you roughly."
"Right guys?" he asked the goons with a threatening smile, to which the goons nodded.
"Really?! Thank you so much Karanji! I'm so lucky to have such a good friend like you! You know I never liked the way that Arnav looked at me - it just made me feel so uncomfortable," Khushi shook her head with disgust. "I was suffocating with someone hunting for me outside the house and someone looking at me funnily inside the house too. I'm so glad that you came to save me Karanji. Thank you," she said gratefully.
"By the way where are we going?" Khushi questioned, looking out of the window trying to figure out where they were heading.
"Somewhere safe, Khushiji. Somewhere very very safe," he smiled.
The way Shyam said that didn't make Khushi feel safe at all - in fact she felt extremely vulnerable and threatened in that moment.
'Please come soon Arnavji,' Khushi prayed.
Guys I'm so so sorry for this late update - I know I'm more than a week late, but as you all know, dad is still in hospital. I had exams too so things were just... too hectic.
But anyways how was the update? I know there were no arshi scenes and the precap wasn't in it, but it will all be in the next chapter. And I felt the need to put in a bit of Shyam's POV too for you to understand the situation a bit more... So how was it? Good? Bad? Rubbish? Please let me know through your likes/comments. Positive criticism is also welcome
