Chapter 1

Day 0

Taani POV

It was an awesome spring morning in the beautiful place called as Almora, we just arrived here last night and rey is still sleeping looking so adorable in his quilt. I think this is one of the best things happened to me, getting married to Rey. I never thought I would be considered important for some stranger who is going to enter my life and I already adore his care so much.

Secondly we are here on our honeymoon *blushes*, he wanted to take me to Singapore but I wanted to explore the beauty of the snow - capped mountains, so we are here. We made a few chits of few hill stations and picked up one which read Almora. And we are here!

I am just falling for this place; as far as I read about it this is a place there are so many thick forests of pine and fir trees. Flowing alongside the city are rivers of Koshi, (Kaushiki), and Suyal (Salmale). I just couldn't stop my excitement and I am just waiting for the moment when we will be out of this hotel and admire the beauty of nature.

Talking about the hotel, it's just awesome! It's not a very big luxurious hotel and not a very small one. It's a nice and cozy one with a touch of nature's beauty to it with some nature's scent of candles, and the room always give the smell of mud before the rain.

Ah! This is life.

My trance broke with the shrill of his cell phone, I went to it and saw the id. It was mom! His mom!

Though I was in a plight whether to receive it or not, I end up receiving the call

"hello?!"

"Good morning beta! Kaisi ho?"

"I am fine maa! Wo raat ko late se pohonche so call nahi kar paye!"

"wo me samajh gayi! Mera kumbhkaran utha ya nahi?"

"nahi maa, so rahe hai"

He stirred in his sleep, taani was sitting beside him and talking. He put his hand on hers.

"toh uthao usko! 9 baj gaye, kab uthega? Kab breakfast karoge?"

"theek hai maa, main uthati hu and aapse baat karati hu thodi der me"

"theek hai beta, apna khayal rakhna!"

"ji"

And they hung up the call.

"bahu aa gayi toh bte ko bhool gaye" he mumbled in his sleep.

"Rey! Get up! We need to get ready! We need to eat and go out!"

He got up and stretched his arms, taking his towel he made his way to the washroom.

They were at the diner downstairs eating their favorite breakfast and there was a person who tapped a glass with spoon for attention.

"Good morning couples! I am sorry I am disturbing you people but we are here for a purpose! May I continue?"

He got positive nods.

"I am Arjun Deshmukh, a psychologist and this is my wife Purvi Deshmukh, she is a wedding planner and we are here to conduct a survey on just married arranged marriage couples. I need 2 couples to participate in my survey and it's going to long for 7 days. It's a very important project for me and it's a request please raise your hands whoever are interested and we will approach you with the details.

Rey raised his hand and there was another hand in the air she was a beautiful fair and slender woman.

Arjun and purvi approached taarey.

"Hello guys!"

"heyy! Said rey

"So, are you sure you want to be a part of our survey? It will have some personal and private tasks as well!" enquired purvi.

"Not a big deal! I think surveys are interesting!" he said confidently.

"And is your lady love interested as well?" asked arjun.

I gave a timid nod with a small smile.

"Thank you so much guys and we will be starting the survey from tomorrow" saying so they left.

They went to other table where there was one other participating couple.

"You are also interested in surveys?" Rey asked me.

"Not really, this is the first time I am taking part in it, moreover even you are there. So I thought I can try." I ended up saying.

A warm feeling enveloped his heart, she trusts him.

That evening

"Oh my god I am so tired!" he collapsed on the bed. The day was really adventurous with visiting Kasar Devi temple and then we went to the Binsar wildlife sanctuary followed by lunch and then visited the museum and we are back to the room. I insisted to go to the deer park also but Rey was so tired saying

"Sab kuch aaj hi dekhogi kya? We are staying for 10 days taani!"

"Taani!! Can you please give me a neck massage?" he asked me.

I sighed making my way to him and started to massage his neck in circular motions. Meanwhile there was a knock on our door.

I was surprised to see, it was our co - participant in the survey.

"Hey, I am Sharon!"

"taani"

We shook our hands and she was looking a bit sad and upset.

"I hope I am not disturbing you both"

"No! Not at all! Please come in." rey welcomed her.

"Thanks a lot but do you have an extra charger? My charger broke." She told us.

"Yea sure, take mine" I lent mine to her and she left wishing us good night.

Soon, there was a message from an unknown number to our phones

"Good evening guys! Please do meet us at 9 AM sharp at the breakfast tomorrow. It's our first day of our survey and we need to assign our first task. Take care - Arjun"

We both had dinner and dozed off to sleep.
