Neeti tells Kuku about getting an acting job in the 'Saas, bahu aur mamta' serial, the role of Kusum and is sad that all rsponsibilities will fall on him nowš She gloats that she is perfectly cast for the role and will be called by her character Kusum from now onš and there is the usual nok jhok between them. Preet and Badi Ma have tea. Neeti comes dressed in a yellow saree and asks for her mom's aashirwad on her first day of shootš They spoof on how a typical bahu wears a heavy saree and lot of jewellery right in the morning and takes the lord's blessingsš They encourage her and she leaves.
Kavya comes and wants to get ready for school. Badi ma offers to get her ready. She notices how Preet loves Kavya so much and asks her to love Ishan to the same extent. She reminds how he risked his own life to save her's and this is her turn to reciprocate his love. Ishan meanwhile meets with Atif and is told that once he finishes a big job on the 26th of Jan, he is permitted to go back to his country. Ishan asks Atif to be careful since his face might have been seen in the CCTV cameras. Atif replies that once their revenge is complete on the 26th along with Baba himself, they would return home. Sana asks if he is happy and he says he is as this was what he had always wanted but his face says otherwise.
Neeti is 'on sets' She comes to know Shabbir (Shabbir Ahluwalia in a cameo) is her costar. The scene goes that Shabbir has to save her from a bad situation and Neeti is immediately happy but as the scene gets shot, she realizes she has got the role of Shabbir's momšPreet sees Trisha sad and the latter confesses everything. Preet makes her realize that she has to change Shabina's opinion of her and gives her a plan to pacify them. Trisha comes to Bilal's house with Preet who tells them that it was Trisha's mistake and she is here to apologize. Trisha agrees that it was so and realizes that she could have informed them even if she were busy and promises to finish work by 6 and come home. Bilal's mom however tells her that work is worship and she needn't do soš Shabina reluctantly makes truce with Trisha.
Trisha thanks Preet. Rumblings of an approaching storm is heard. Back in the Hooda house, Honey decides to stay back much to Bebe's chagrinš Ishan marks the date 26th on his calendar. Bade pa comes and tells of the importance of Republic day and is sad that the importance of this day has been forgotten and praises him for acknowledging it. Preet comes and Ishan gently chides her for always putting others' needs over hers to when he comes to know she went to Bilal's house for Trisha. She reminds him that he's there for her and they have an eyelock... He helps her sit down and she asks him how long will he keep supporting her and asks him to bring the crutches which is kept in the storeroom which Bade pa had used when he had gotten a fracture.
Preet decides that she would go look for it and he teases her about having to lift her to go thereš She retorts that he needn't lift her and just support her while walking and they cutely bicker <3 He then tells her that he can keep lifting her his entire lifeš³ and she smiles. They go to the storeroom but while searching, the current gets cut because of the storm and they realize they are locked in as the door has jammed with the keys outside. Preet gets nervous and starts chattering worrying what the others would think if they come to know they are locked and argues that she is stuck with him to which Ishan retorts that she talks as if he's an old hindi film villain... and then stops as he realizes what he's said! He backtracks and she apologizes that she is scared of the dark as it reminds her of that time when she had to fight off that gangster
The whole family wakes up, unable to sleep because of power cut. They decide to go to the hall and wait. Ishan tries to calm her down and is about to go do something about the door but she clutches his shirt and begs to him to stay by her side and not leave her. He replies that he never would and they sit down. He tries to scare her talking of ghosts and then when she is taken aback, he tells her that the fear is in her mind and asks her to let it go. She tells him that she has tried with great difficulty but is unable to do so. Ishan asks her to think of a situation when he wouldn't be there and she shuts him up and asks him to promise never to leave her as she doesn't have the strength to lose anyone anymore, especially him and Kavya.
The rest of the family meanwhile plays some game, where they are divided into two teams where they have to enact a movie and the other team has to guess its name and Neeti does some strange actingš They get into an argument regarding a movie name and wishes to confirm with Preet. Meanwhile Preet tells Ishan that she knows he will never test her faith in him and again asks him to promise never to leave her as she can't imagine life without himš. They have a sweet moment when she tells him she can even spend the night in the darkness as long he is there by her side. They smile and she sleeps on his shoulders as he stares ahead, worried.
Precap- Preet tells Ishan that he has something to say and confesses that she wishes to take their relationship ahead to which he apologizes and says that he cannot.
