I think you should get your facts right, Nepal was a part of India. But yes, who cares if Nepal was a part of India or not, Prashant is considered an Indian. I also rest my case😆

Ok now I am confused about the claim of the topic starter in the first place.

Does she want to prove that a Nepali guy with Nepali citizenship won Indian Idol? Wouldnt that be something to be annoyed about, if such an error indeed took place (although I am sure no such mistake was made)?
Also as far as I can tell, you cannot be working for the Indian Police if you are not an Indian National. So that makes Prashant an Indian citizen, right?

So topic starter, please clarify your peeve for me one more time. And dont just type "he is nepali" in bold font over and over.

Do you know for sure that he carries a Nepali passport?

Did he say during auditions that he is a Nepali citizen? If he said I am from Nepal, that does not count because that could mean that he is just referring to his origin and ancestry.

Did ever during the entire competition the hosts say "Prashant Tamang from Nepal"? As far as I recall it was always "Prashant from Darjeeling"

prashant is an indian citizen who is of nepali origion. it's never been said in ii3 that he's from nepal. prashant never said that he is from nepal, he just said that a nepali guy has been given this chance..... he hold citizenship of india(by birth)but he is a nepali by heart. just answer me one thing, the indians who live in the uk and hold citizenship of uk are considered indian or not? if that's the case, then indians living here should call themselves british, they have no right to call themselves as indians as they are a citizen of the uk.

the person who wrote that nepal was once a part of india should get his/her facts right. nepal was never a part of india and it has never been under british rule.

U maybe right. My point is we were all connected in some way or the other years back. So why fight over boundaries now? If we are separate entities today, we all need to respect that and not fight over what was.

gosh this topic has swayed way off now 😆. It maybe time to close this topic now. But it was nice to read your post.

that website is not reliable. even i can create that website. u should always depend on a reliable website. i know one day indians are going to post in one of the websites that 'usa was once a part of india'.always check for a reliable website rather than getting craps from a crappy website.

sharad dhoti, the fact is that NEPAL WAS NEVER A PART OF INDIA. a fake person like u always rely on a fake website like that. even i can create a website and write all fake things. always refer to a reliable website in order to get ur facts right. who is denying the fact that prashant is an indian? he is an indian by birth but a nepali by heart. should i call indians living in the uk holding citizenship british??if indians living abroad can say 'phir bhi dil hai hindustani', why can't a nepali guy who has indian citizenship call himself a 'nepali banda'?
