varun has gone backwards with dilwale

I know its just but really what is wrong with VD. He was so crappy in it. Just for mass appeal and numbers he is doing such stupid characters. Really what was so great about this role that he took it? Its nothing new from what he has done in the past. Same sweet cute guy romancing nothing more nothing less. I liked his acting in ABCD2 even though I thought that movie was utter shit he was good and the dance was good too. Bt really what's nice ab his role in diwali he came out looking like a flower pot. Like really man not cool. I knew from the beginning that this movie wnt do him any good when it came to testing his actor. Bt his character looks so boring. Quite frankly I dnt knw why they bothered to make srk have a brother they should have cut that out and just focused on kajol and srk. I hope after dishoom just will be another pathetic movie I am sure of it that he starts picking up so interesting and different roles. Abcd and now this he is just there as a flower pot. Guys aint meant to be flower pots varun. Look at Ranveer even though I dnt particular like all the looks he has done bt his movies are always diff. Come december time I wnt be comparing ranveer to him but I will be comparing ranveer to srk. And that's the ultimate aim to be compared to some of the great actors. Not to be their side kick. Totally disappointed with him

On his own he isn't able 2 give 1 Suprhit despite being best in form, plus some of his recent films, he needs this much big star to either get Super Hit or BlockBuster tag for his film. It will add in his film list which matters 2 him most.

Its Dilwale not Diwali.

its nothing wrong to mix up your filmography with diff genres.. but he should see that he doesnt do multistarrers in the near future

Playing a sidekick this year after giving solo hits not a good step. SOTY was two hero and equal level multistarrer this role in Dilwale looks extra.

At present it seems like it was a huge mistake on his part. He is made to look like Shreyas Talpade of Golmal.

As his fan, I don't mind him doing Dilwale at all. I think its brilliant move by him to pick this film as there will be many people that will come and watch this for srk and kajol and it will be a good exposure for him. More people will get to know him because I think mostly his fan right now are teenagers. With Badlapur, he gets adults to know him. With ABCD 2, kids. And with this, big families! So its a win-win situation.

Don't think it was a bad idea. Trailer can't reveal everything. Varun has shot for the film just as much as SRK. All the journalists/distributors who saw snippets have said they have equal roles. SRK's films always have scope for other actors.
