Sarbjit In Cannes
Production designer-turned-director Omung Kumar is all set to start his next film Sarbjit, which starts rolling on November 20 in Patiala. The film is a biopic on Sarbjit's sister Dalbir Kaur, who fought for many years to get her brother back to India from Pakistan. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan plays Dalbir Kaur and Randeep Hooda will be seen donning Sarbjit's role.
The film will be shot in various locations in Punjab including Chandigarh. Last week, we at Box Office India, told you that the makers want to complete the film by February but we couldn't say why. We are now told that the makers want to wrap the film as soon as possible as they want the film to open at the Cannes Film Festival, where ARB makes an appearance every year. Since the festival takes place in April-May, they want to complete the film well in time. Since Cannes draws filmmakers from all over the world, it is hoped that the festival screening will create a huge buzz around Sarbjit.

Udta Punjab To Release in April
Abhishek Chaubey's Udta Punjab is being shot in Mumbai these days. The film, which features Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt and Diljit Dosanjh in the lead, deals with the growing drug mafia in Punjab. Earlier, there was talk that the film would release in January but now it is said that the production house and corporate studio involved have decided to release it in April. The decision hinges on the fact that April is when the vacation period starts and that there aren't too many releases during this month thanks to the Indian Premier League taking place then.

Hera Pheri 3 Postponed
The first, month-long schedule of Hera Pheri 3 concluded a month ago, and the second schedule was to start this month, after John Abraham returned from his Force 2 schedule. Box Office India was the first to tell you that Shaad Ali would once again direct a remake of Mani Ratnam's movie O Kadhal Kanmani. The film revolves around today's live-in couples. We are told that the film will be produced by none other than Dharma Productions, which has bought the rights to O Kadhal Kanmani. The film will start rolling early next year.
PS: We're told that this film will probably have two new faces. Let's see who is lucky enough to be launched by Dharma Productions.
Guess Who?
So this actor made his debut years ago and didn't have any hit films for quite a while. It was a film by this director who is known to make dark films that changed this actor's fortunes. But when the actor stopped working with this director, he once again looked failure straight in the eye. He recently got back to this director and once again got lucky. The industry thought the actor was back in form and many filmmakers started signing him. But when he did make a film with this production house, the movie bombed, and now we hear that he's refusing to be a part of another film to be produced by the same banner.
