EXCLUSIVE:Salman was
sleeping when the
rumour of his
engagement broke out

Time and again, rumour mills get fresh wind
with speculation on Salman Khan and his
wedding plans. And some time back, there
were talks of Salman and Romanian model
and television presenter, Lulia Vantur getting
engaged and there were reports that he was
set to marry her early next year.
Now, when Salman was asked how it felt when
he heard about the rumour, which first came
out in the foreign media, he said light-
heartedly, "Oh, I loved the rumour about my
engagement," and he further went on to
narrate an anecdote related to it. "When the
rumour about my engagement broke out, some
journalist called my father and said, Mubarak
ho, Salman Saab has got engaged, and my
dad, who obviously got a bit perplexed, replied
- 'I don't think so...he is sleeping'," said
Salman while laughing away.
Further, Salman goes on to explain how it all
happened. He says, "This news came out in
the foreign media because Lulia's friend
whose name is also Lulia, was wearing a ring.
She gave that ring to Lulia (Salman's friend)
to wear and suddenly the news was splashed
all over, but in five minutes Lulia cleared out
that it was her friend's ring and there's no
engagement, nothing. But by then it was
all aish (celebration) for the media here. I felt
let the rumours about my engagement go
on, what difference does it make?
Salman's younger sister Arpita Khan Sharma
later rubbished the rumours on Twitter saying,
'Do not believe everything you read in the
papers or on different websites online,' she
wrote.Even around the time of Arpita's
wedding, there were rumours doing the round
that Salman had told his family that Lulia
was his girlfriend. There has never been any
