The way of the world one house mourns in grief.. After losing a battle outside.. in the big bad world.. Dhani would return to the ashram ,dispirited and crying.. isn't that what vikal babu had said to her when he primed her up to speak up against Phool Chand! Yes she needed vikal babu to gather her wits. But till then she hides her wounds in the refuge of the Ashram.. where she belongs. Outside it's four walls there's betrayal of trust! this Ashram is her fortress against all the deception rife outside it.. how he had infiltrated into her Ashram .. half-jokingly! he took their signatures on a blank piece of paper.. how they fumbled in the act.. how he warned them against fraud.. yet he was pulling a fast one on them.. fooling them by diverting their attention that he was the actual owner of the Ashram.. post man took his name.. that man came to get the agreement from her ,in viplav's name all in.. all a hoax !! meeting the prosecution side Lala! Her tears remind her. Dhani! Today you have seen his true colours . Underneath the innocent amiable, funny guy! great teacher! is now a man who is laughing at them!! He made his dada ji the great Mahadev apologize for his sordid suck jokes.. and Dhani's tears roll uncontrollably down her cheeks , how could not see beneath his sweet smile and smooth operation.. fraudster.. deceiver.. fake..
While another house rejoices in victory..Dashrant drunk with the power of success in the war, sings away.. in tune and Kanak as always likes to compete with him and stay in tune crucifies his notes in a shrilling cacophony ! deafening the universe with her noise! She cackles like a witch , big day of celebration for her! her son is released from the spell of the Ashram. But he disappoints her , that her son is at the Ashram as they speak.. again she protests and he rights her off for not having enough brains to understand ,what he means..be patient.. more to come. patience yields sweet fruit
One deeply distressed wishes to be left alone to come to terms with one's shock more than grief..but Dulari badgers Dhani to share what has visibly shaken her so.. the last person Dhani wants to talk ill about Viplav is to her mother, as Dhani knows how much Dulari dislikes Viplav.. Dhani keeps quiet and deep down inside protects Viplav's name..why? she doesn't realize yet the answer .More of the widows ask the reason for her tears. Dhani keeps the reason hidden in her heart. Till she hears the celebratory sound of the loud brass band outside their Ashram.. Rajlaxmi opens the door to a capering bugle blowing Viplav! who comes in boisterously doing a gig before the astounded widows! Dulari rolls her eyes and others smile as bugle in hand he weaves around them and puts his arm affectionately around Inderani who wants to know what's the celebration in aid of? Viplav goes, will let you know but before that let me settle my scores with that bundle of complaints first! he goes to Dhani ,stands behind her ..she stands with her back to him.. in jest he sounds the bugle at the back of her head.. all in jest! He yells, whats her problem? why has she turned her face from him? all this fanfare he arranged for her? the turn that will turn Viplav's joy upside down.. Dhani turns and glares him straight in his face. Viplav twists his arm and pushes it down in a winners move, this Ashram from today! but before he can finish his sentence Dhani too raises her arm up forcefully and gives Viplav a resounding slap across his face! the sound echoes in the walls of the Ashram and bounces off the bewildered faces of the widows! The bugle slips out of Viplav's palm and lands on the floor.. his raybans, slip down the bridge of his nose and with a scowl he pulls them off his face. He looks down perplexed into her face.. quick! for an answer, for the execution of this act of hers , that takes him by surprise? he frowns down at her, she flares her nostrils up at him..his eyes flash down at her..her eyes swim in tears.. for which joy? is this slap a reward for? care to tell me? "hell hath no fury like a woman scorned".. Dhani spits fire all the words he had heard before.. all the words he thought had been deleted from her heart! ... because your true face as a rakhsas has been exposed before all! we are widows indeed! but far from stupid! We understand your moves! your cheap jokes! you played with our emotions! under the pretext of friendship! you tried to deceive me! my mother is right you are a charlatan! an imposter! a fraud! But no it was me who trusted you! it is entirely my own fault! today I see it clearly with mine own eyes! that you are a big swindler! Saw through your deception! getting the Ashram painted !helping us! staying here with us! I see now it was all a sham ! all this was your move! I get that now! can see your real face! your true colurs!. Once she vents off ,Viplav turns to the rest of them and wants to know if Dhani speaks for all of them too? they don't reply and he throws away his ray bans and pulls the papers from his back pocket and offers them to Dhani..and says soberly, here goes my deception.. my fraud ,that he came to celebrate with them.. I came to show them this .. Dhani grabs the papers , rips them apart and he yells, what is she doing? she shreds them and defiantly throws them up in his face and glares in his face! helplessly, he looks into her face as she yells in rage, these papers maybe anything? but they will not erase your deception and fraud! and before she kicks him out, he needs to leave himself! and there's no need for anything form now! never show your face here again! such a big fraud you are! Dhani spews poison at him.. but Viplav stands silently watching the demon in her.. dhani screams! there's the door get out!!! Inderani intervenes .. but Dhani my child.. and Dhani cuts her, no! bade amma! don't say anything today! as she knows how to deal with the likes of him! Viplav replies, she has no idea of what she is doing.. Viplav ,tries to reason with her whatever it is.. she needs to tell him clearly, before it's too late! but Dhani tells him she has nothing to say to him.. Dulari glares at Viplav smug as a bug.. Dhani marches to the door hangs on to the open door and says.. now get out from here! angrily he waits, then walks slowly to the door where she waits by it.. he pauses and in pain she looks up at him and wishes, she had never met him..you were a devil !are a devil! and will always be a demon!..some what hurt he gives her a sided look and then walks past her, stops a while at the first down to the Ashram, turns with tearful eyes and she hastily slams the door shut in his face! and gathers herself. Viplav comes out on the quiet road outside the Ashram. turns and stares at the Ashram sign above his head..
Tripurari lurks in wait ,then comes to Viplav..asks how come he outside the Ashram ? Viplav turns the question on him, how come Tripurari is always found lurking out the Ashram?? .Triprari laughs sheepishly. no ! he was on an errand for Guru dev.. so saw him.. Tripurari asks him to come home, and Viplav says. No he doesn't know who to doubt ,him? them in there? or doubt myself? he notices dadji watch and demands to know how did he get it..?he replies Guru dev gave it to him. Viplav turns away from him and he begins to lose the plot! grabs Tripurari 's collar and cries will someone tell me where I went wrong?He grabs a stone and chucks it at the Ashram sign and yells , he got himself stoned for the Ashram! now it can go to hell! got shoes thrown at myself! got you a stay order and all you can see in him is the rakhsas only! Viplav tripathi will not be coming here again! and he rejects Tripurari's help and leaves.. Tripurari praises god for this victory. Viplav's anger is rage.. pure frustration at Dhani ripping off important ppers without malice , more like shouting at loved ones..
Dhani may have kicked Viplav out of the Ashram but she is still answerable to Inderani she revbuke her for hitting him, behaving badly with him! But Dhani warns don't be beguiled by him, whatever he did was a farce, he made a joke out of all of us.. he actually teamed up with our biggest foe Lala!he pretended to help us! but was hooding winking us! he stole those papers! Dulari jumps in to throw fuel to encourage the flames, she said it from the very start, but no one paid heed to her! but now what she feared has come forth! so hope all are satisfied. But Sita maa still doubts all this is true. and to prove her point Dhani brings the proof.. the agreement papers.. Inderani checks the file and is speechless.. Dhani fights that man who came and asked about Viplav that too was his ploy! and he wanted to snatch our Ashram from us! Dulari spews poison don't believe it Sita maa ,but the truth is vikal babu wrangled his way into our Ashram lived disguised and concealed his duplicity! But the truth is he stayed here and gnawed away with our emotions like wood worm!.
But indarani although disappointed still checks Dhani.. she was hasty in ripping the papers without reading them.. could have been something important. She was rash in tearing the papers! How will we know if there was something important in them? Dhani replies wish what badi amma says, is true I SAW with my own eyes he was embracing Lala..it was yet another cunning ploy of his nothing more! and all that fanfare band and music it was to mock us! now whatever happens none of us will ever meet him! Dhani orders. everything about him is fraudulent! But Dhani cannot conceal her grief.. she smarts inside.. why isn't she happy? she exposed the truth about her rakhsas..
Viplav at every memory of her slap! throws ,bounces and catches a tennis ball! To release stress of an unexpected motion..
Dhani alone in the courtyard of the Ashram..is pulled straight towards the basket of yellow marigolds and she touches the flowers.. with the same hand that in a fit of rage ripped the papers apart.. she tenderly picks one flower up looks down at it and sees.. his pout teaching her to blow a whistle..how she had laughed ,enjoyed his company ..she has to shake off this weakness! clear her head! she turns away from the flowers.. but her eyes rest on the bike.. everywhere she casts her eyes ..that rakhsas looks her in the eye! her feet take her to the bike and the hand that slapped his stubble cheek now rests on the seat of the bicycle.. she recalls how he sat on it and rode towards her.. how surprised she was then? when he told her about his job! his first wage and his gift to her.. he called the bike an aeroplane! just to make her laugh!
Angry and hurt and angry and emotionally bruised.. Viplav bounces the ball on the bonnet of his jeep, and recalls her slap ,the impact pushed his face to one side.. he caught the ball and flares his nostrils. Squeezes the ball as he recalls how her hands tore the papers and threw the bits across his face..so full of hate.. he muses,about her words to him at the Ashram door, you were a devil, are a devil! and will remain a devil always! he takes a deep breath and hurls the ball at the bonnet of his jeep! something has got into her.. this was not his Dhani..
At the Ashram .. the pain in Dhani's heart shows full front on her face. she looks at the agreement papers.. that have become a cause of disagreement between them.. she recalls the kind gesture of maha Guru when he returned the papers to her.. and asks forgiveness for Viplav's childish pranks! In angst she throws the damned papers aside on the divan in the courtyard and walks away from them as if they gnaw at her...and sits on the bench he usually sat or lay upon..
Night fall, all the widows sit as if in mourning. The only one who seems normal, unmoved, is Dulari. She scoffs at the rest. She hopes the widows don't begrudge her daughter .. as by the looks of it the house seems in mourning and all appear as if in grief.. actually including her daughter.. Inderani is strong enough to challenge Dulari 's cutting remark .. what's happened is not less than mourning. we couldn't have made such a huge mistake in judging a person. Viplav cannot deceive us in such a big way! I am sure Dhani has misunderstood.. Dhani gets up from her place on the bench where Viplav used to lounge about.. Dhani replies to badi amma fine you have faith in him. its ok as I can't change your thinking! but she saw the papers and after that I don't trust him any more says Dhani rather rudely to every one's shock! she continues. he only wore a mask of a good man , that mask has come off now!..
With that notwithstanding her pain, Dhani runs up the stairs.. walks along the corridor hangs on to a column and cries her eyes out.. Dulari watches her child's tear stained face and Dhani hugs her mother's neck for support.. Dhani cries out, she doesn't know how this all happened? but this is the truth ,he was a person I made my friend! believed him, trusted him! must be mad! you were right in saying no one can change my destiny! society just uses us in the name of change ! we are taken advantage off, because we are nothing but poor widows.. she went beyond her limitations, you were right when you said ,he was not a nice person! I just had blinkers on I never paid heed to what you said.. forgive me, she begs her mother, I should have listened to you.. nothing of this sort will happen again ,Dhani cries and pleads before her mother!.. Dulari the mother, receives her Dhani back safe and sound in her arms...
Well what can I say.. quite a loud resounding slap it was. I am not concerned.. Viplav is now vigilant.. he has already picked up on the fact that Tripurari is more than often been found snooping around the Ashram.. and why would his dadaji give his personal gold watch to Tripurari.. why not to him, Viplav? as for Dhani.. she was possessed.. was as I call it influenced by maha Guru.. it's him that is sounding off through her. things are presented before Dhani in such a way that it's no surprise she is under his spell as yet another devotee.. Viplav has given her the benefit of the doubt.. he will not give up and make her talk at some point.. if he is bruised by her slap.. she too is.. in fact she, despite all her show down recalls his fond memories.. my only concern is Dhani at the moment is influenced by either hoaxers like Dashrant or people who seem hard lined like her mother.. overall it's good to make mistakes that's how they both, Viplav and Dhani will over come the powerful network of evil forces. Inherently both Viplav and Dhani are humans who value life and have the spirit to serve others in them..the slap will bring them closer it's a rude awakening from the slumber of perhaps being too complacent to the works of evil around us.. Precap: Viplav is with his friends, Raj says he's like a saviour for the Ashram and Dhani. Coldly Viplav replies the Ashram and Dhani can both go to hell! .
