year, everything in my
life has taken a
backseat: Ranveer Singh
November 5, 2015 Seema Sinha
While Sanjay Leela Bhansali's, Bajirao
Mastani is now nearing completion, the film's
lead hero, Ranveer Singh, who went
underground' once he began shooting for the
film, has now started making public
appearances with the film's poster launch
yesterday. Apparently, the actor had
completed all his pending work related to
movies, his endorsements and commercials,
and decided to shut himself completely to
focus on Bhansali's film as he wanted to get
deeply involved with his character which's one
of the most challenging roles of his career. So
Ranveer was completely off all the media and
the social networking sites for about 18
months. Also, the actor, who went bald for the
role wanted to keep his look under wraps as
much as possible.
And when the actor was asked about the
issues of "extreme intolerance" in India and
the ongoing controversy of Shah Rukh Khan
being attacked by a political outfit, or Ghulam
Ali not willing to perform in India, Ranveer
said, "For past year-and-a-half, you could say
I have been living under a rock. I really am far
removed from anything that is happening in
the world. I had the single focus which is to
play Bajirao to the best of my ability as it is a
once in a life time opportunity and I had to do
it justice. So everything in my life has taken a
backseat, I am not in touch with many of my
friends, I have not been able to spend time
with my family for over a year and a half but
of course, all of them are very
understanding,"
He continued, "And at the same time I have
not been able to follow the current affairs,
unfortunately. Hopefully I will get time off
between Bajirao Mastani and Bifikre which is
when I will catch up with everything that is
happening. Right now I am not well equipped
to comment on this issue."https://www.pinkvilla.com/entertainment/news/344299/last-one-and-half-year-everything-my-life-has-taken-backseat-ranveer-singh
