Chetan and Arun named Choreographer of the Week
"Basically they liked our choreography this week and they gave us this medal of the star sign which is carrying a logo of Nach Baliye. It is based on the judges' comments. From this week onwards they are going to give this medal to the choreographer whose performance they felt was outstanding on that particular day," says Chetan.
"It was a great feeling for us. We were quite surprised as well! Getting a reward for your choreography out of 10 choreographers is always good. Now people stared recognizing us. At the same time our responsibilities to work hard have also increased," he adds.
However Chetan says that this prize is just not him and Arun and belongs to Sanjeeda and Aamir as well. "We are professional dancers so whatever we do we do it beautifully but our couple is made of unprofessional dancers. They practice for the performance only 3-4 hours a day. I want to give them 50% credit for this medal. They equally deserve the reward."
Although Chetan and Arun have received the award Sanjeeda and Aamir's last performance in the Ched Chad round got them a lot of flak. Aamir and Sanjeeda scored only 19 marks in last episode.
"Each person has his or her own point of view. Judges thought about it deeply I guess. It was just a slapstick comedy and nobody should have thought about it so seriously. It was looking funny and audience liked the performance. They were even screaming once more for them. First we wanted to do a tapori dance but later on we thought that it is very common. So then we decided that nobody ever thought that how dacoits dance and getting any character for your dance is always exciting," he says.
