Mihiks you watch BB too?!! Kya?!?! Hi-5!
And now to your post. Here's my two cents:
I'm a firm believe in calling a spade a spade. So if I see any contestant acting like an asshole or whatever, I'll call them out on it -- regardless of if I like them or no. So for me, making some comments like asshole, chugalkor, etc. are okay because they're just describing the behaviour of the contestant. The thing about BB is that the contestants themselves set themselves up to be criticized. Hell, that's exactly what WKW does, Salman criticizes the actions of all those people he does not agree with. So passing comments like that (which perhaps can be considered personal) are okay for me. Although I'd still like to mention that even comments have a fair linee. There's a difference between using words like "asshole" and words like "c**t."
That said, I'm 100% AGAINST any sort of personal attack against any IF member, as you said. There's a difference between discussing a show and attacking someone for their opinions. While some opinions are worth attacking (ex. those held by neonazi's for example), other harmless that do not personally effect us should not (ex. SuKish behaviour) be attacked. You can constructively criticize and ask members why they support who they do, but making personal comments on them based on their likes (ex. saying IF people are assholes for like asshole contestants) is wrong.
So, combining the two together, for me, it's okay if someone attacks SuKish (using SuKish as an example because the original post is about them, but actually stands for all contestants) and calls them out on their horrible behaviour, but when someone attacks another member for supporting SuKish by calling them names or whatever, then that's crossing the line for me. And I agree with you there, getting personal is not right in that scenario.
But yeah, totally in agreement with your last few sentences1 :)
