Prologue:
As orange rays of sun shown in the evening over cityAs orange rays of sun shown in the evening over city of London, there sat a dusky yet beautiful girl rocking back and forth on her chair. She held the frame, in her hand. A frame included sophisticated lady, with herself and another young woman, it was indeed more like a family frame. She was smiling looking at it, but slowly her smile faded away, as she kept the frame aside and picked up small book umm.. no Diary in her hand. She opened the book to the blank page, which somehow reflected her life presently, "BLANK".
She holds the pen, and decides to fill it up, and remove it's emptiness, and hers too, by just putting her feelings in words. She places the pen on the first page and her hands move on to write, "Kalpi's Life..."
Kalpi's POV:
"Wow! My life has indeed been a roller coaster ride, I have family there living happily, even without me. But me? I am still the alone one." She looked up at the sky, to find one of her favorite star. She could see that star from anywhere in the world, "I am missing you dad, You had always been my support, but today I feel left out, You had left us all long back, ..." she paused..." Almost 8 years," she completed, "But today, I can only see you as my star, real hero... And just like it, you are far away from me... I really miss You Daddy!" she completed the sentence and took in deep breath, to compose herself and her emotions, " I have a sister, whom I love and adore alot, but I cannot meet her anymore, for ... for what I am expected to do, and what I have done to my mom... I have been asked to leave my own family, just because I refuse to put my self-respect at stake, because I refused to marry that one man, she found to be perfect for me. In spite of knowing what had conspired on that dreadful night, she wanted me to marry him. I had always known yet respected my mother for intelligent strategies, and buisiness mind, anyone would appreciate, being a woman she had created niche into an industry, where most organizations do not even survive. But I had never known she would be so selfish towards her own daughter? Could any mother be so selfish? I never thought that. I still refused to believe, it, but that's the fact. She wanted me to marry herbusinesspartner's son, for a deal, for a partnership?
I had truely loved him, I was marrying him ... for the love I had for him, for respect I carried. We had been living in same house from our childhood, and I believe it was just impossible to not even be attracted or befriend him, but never did I think, he would do cheat on me, that too on the same night we were gonna marry? All those promises were false, his love was illusion, his ways were..." tears rolled down her eyes, as she remembered him. She closed her eyes, letting tears flow, as she recalled that fateful night when she was about to marry love of her life.
Flashback:
Surrounding was filled with hustle bustle like that of any wedding. Bride was set to get ready, but before she could change into her bridal wear, she wanted to make sure her things were set. She realized that thejewelerygiven to her by Raghav's parents wasn't in the set and decided to look for her sister, who might know where they had been kept. However, her cheeks redden on a naughty thought that had entered her mind. She decided to check on her groom. Marriage was basically arranged with consent of both, however she enjoyed the attention Raghav gave her post the arrangement of marriage. He had truely showered all his love and care on her. She smiled as she begun approaching his room. She was almost dying to see her groom, being ready for their special evening. Their wedding evening. She slowly turned the knob, with a slight shyness of meeting him. Little did she know, this excitement would soon turn out to be sight of an horror, as she saw Raghav holding on to Neha saxena, daughter of Raghav's client, and both of them lost into a kiss they were sharing. Shocked and disgusted by the sight she dropped a piece ofjewelery she held, and with that slightest of the sound, Raghav and Neha broke their kiss and looked towards lady who caught them red handed.
Flashback ends...
On the other hand man dropped himself on the bed, with huge smile on his face. "Finally, I am free from any burden!" he thought as he arranged himself comfortably on his pillow. "Pheww... I had thought that wedding would have happened, and I would have had to tolerate that woman," he felt, "But oh well, I wouldn't have anyways let her control me! I am Raghav Singhaniya, and I am who decides every move! Though some of it was unplanned..." he thought with a smirk. It had almost been a week since that fateful night when he was to marry, daughter of his dad'sbusinesspartner, but...
Flashback:
He was just their kissing that woman whom he had been eyeing for a while. She had lured him in her charm day he had met her at his client's place. Little did he know her attraction, and when she had come to meet him before his wedding, he couldn't have let her go anyways without a kiss. Be it today or other day, he would have had her by him for a time, so what she was already married. As they were just into that superficial kiss, they heard a slight sound of some metal hitting the floor, making them look at her. She had tears in her eyes! Raghav did feel bad, however he counted benefits of being caught and he smirked, "Glad you saw us!" he said casually. "Anyways, this wedding is just a formality sweetheart, hope you know you cannot make me dance on your tune, young lady!" he said, as he stepped forward towards her. "I had always considered you as my friend, and maybe a woman, who can just be of my interest for a time being, but I guess, our parents had taken it all in wrong way..." he said, as he stood in front of her, and tears continued flowing. Kalpana held him by collar, "What the hell do you think of yourself or me?" she questioned him, "Am I like someone, who is like a woman, you were just with!" and heads towards Neha. Kalpana gives her tight slap, "This isn't for being here in my fiance's room and kissing him, but for it's woman like you, who proves woman shouldn't be given too much of freedom, to an extent they could go and lure and bring about their names into low category. It's woman like you, who prove to be disloyal to some extremely caring husband..." however before she could continue, she heard a shout from other end, "KALPANA!" from Raghav. She turned back, "I am yet to finish Mr. Singhaniya...!" she snapped back, while Raghav went towards her, "How dare you talk to Neha like that? Ifyou call her low, then what are you? Isn't your mother marrying you off to me, for her own buisiness deal and benefits?" he questioned, and >>Sataaak<< was a sound of slap from Kalpana. "This marriage was out respect of relationships, relations our families have been sharing, and relation you and I..." she stops, and looks at him in disgust, "I had always respected you Raghav, and thought you to be a good human being too, for belonging to family of Kamla Aunty and Vitthal Uncle, but ..." tears once again roll down her eyes, and she wipes it off, "But I was wrong, I cannot marry you...! I will have to go and inform everyone about it..." and she was about leave when she felt a strong grip on her arms, and swirled around, as Raghav held her in a way to face him, and her hands being tightly held behind near her waist, "Don't You dare tell dad anything about it!!" he ordered tightening his grip, "or else, your mom can be in trouble... Hope you understand the risk," he said giving a victorious smirk. Kalpana pushed him away with all her strength and shouted back at him, "You think am afraid of you? After spending years of childhood and till today in same house, I think, I am not the weakling here!!" She ran out from there crying leaving behind worried Raghav and scared Neha.
Flashback ends...
Raghav thought, "She had gutts, but what was the use? Neha is getting divorced and Kalpana herself is..." Raghav sat up on bed with a smile,
While on the other had Kalpana wiped her tears and opened her eyes,
Flashback:
Kalpana ran towards her mother Gauri and told her all that she had seen sobbing. Gauri was shocked to hear that Kalpana has refused to marry Raghav and in rage of thoughts of losing their partnership with Singhaniya, Gauri slapped Kalpana, and pulled her in side, "Kalpi, we cannot break the marriage, You have to marry Raghav, and there is no way out!" she ordered. Kalpana was shocked, "But maa..." her words were cut, "shhh... No buts, Kalpana do you realize, impact of this marriage, on that dream project of your Jadhav mills?" .. and "NO!" came pat reply from Kalpana, "I am not going to marry Raghav," she said, "So what?" asked Gauri. Kalpana felt humiliated by now, and ran out from the room...
Soon enough wedding was called off and Vitthal Slapped Raghav, this action had not only shocked Raghav, but rest of the family. Gauri looked at Kalpi angrily, and went to her room. Kalpana could sense her anger, and decided to calmly speak to her and followed her, but Gauri, took our suitcase and started packing Kalpana's stuff in her bag!" Kalpi's older sister, Seema entered the room, trying to stop Gauri, but she was adamant, Kalpi and Seema tried their best. But failed, as Kalpana was soon dragged to the door of Singhaniya Mansion and told to leave. Vitthal tried stopping, but Gauri stopped him.. warning she is her daughter and no one had right to interefere. Raghav just looked on at the scene as Kalpana was ultimately thrown out of the house.
Flashback End...
Kalpana closed her diary with last line written as... "This was all... Week has passed by, and my heart is still wounded, but I know I will be over it all soon."
