Chapter 11
Raghav stood still near his window pane, on that evening! His cheeks red like tomato, as he recalled that kiss this morning. However his cheeks weren't red out of blush but ... out of slap, that came as reaction much later in evening of the kiss.
Flashback:
As things cooled down for Kalpana, reality came upon her. She broke the hug, and jerked him away and looked at him, as he kept his smile intact, and once again tried to close the distance between two holding her, but only to her resistance, as she pushed him away, and ran outside her room with tears in her eyes.
Flashback Ends..
She might have not been in her state of mind at the moment to react, but her reactions later that evening after wedding ceremony were enough to break his heart into pieces. She had kept on ignoring him throughout the whole ceremony, and her avoidance made him feel worse. More over to add on she tried distracting herself by staying more with Parth, and running away as and when he tried to go any closer. It was the scene throughout the marriage, right from Seema being brought to mandap, till they took pheras, and tied themselves in nuptial relation. No later that Seema was taken to her room, for some time, and Sammy away, had Raghav caught some time with Kalpana as she too headed towards her room, "So I am being ignored?" Kalpana stood rooted in her place realizing his presence through his question. Kalpana gulped down and quickly turned back to just close the door, but too late!
He had already stormed in repeating his statement in form of question, where Kalpana pushed him, shouting, "What is your Problem Mr. Singhaniya?" she asked. Raghav went closer to her, this time, kalpana stood in her place looking straight into her eyes and showing her palm, "STOP THERE!" she ordered making Raghav stop. "What do you think of yourself Mr. Raghav Singhaniya? Are you some, king to whom world has to bow or some benevolent or kind human being, whom people would willingly follow!" asked Kalpana, and further making it clear, "That YOU ARE none to me..!" she said looking straight at him. "LIER!" he replied back, "I am not any king, who would just do things good for his kingdom, nor any kind being, who can simply see his fiance hanging out with some other man, in my presence!" he retorted back to her question and made his way closer to Kalpana in quick pace and held her by shoulder, pulling her closer to him, "Don't" he commanded, ignoring him, Kalpana jerked him away, "I am not your fiance! and I share no relation with you" screamed kalpana making passing by Parth alert and he decided to speak to Kalpi immediately! His knocking on the door had got attention from Kalpana and Raghav.. reliving Kalpi even more when she heard him calling her out with knock. Without wasting a second Kalpi started her way towards door only to be pulled back by raghav as he held her wrist.. Which Kalpana managed to free herself of by quickly jerking it and opening the door hugging her best friend moment she saw him.Raghav clenched his fist on inteteference of Parth while he was with Kalpi... but soon enough started clapping making kalpi break the hug... and both looked at him..
Raghav sat on bed, "so my fiance's boyfriend is here... to save her..." he said calmly.. " and I wonder for how long he has been stalking us..." kalpana went towards him... making him get up from bed holding his collar... her quick actions shocked Raghav.. and not giving him time to think.. Kalpana with her might pulled him and dragged him towards door and pushing him out... she quickly closed the door. And set down supporting it crying... Raghav was still in the shock with turn of events. . "You are still Mine Kalpi... I will talk to dad about our marriage too as soon as possible. . " had he said and left towards his room to calm himself down.
Kalpana still set there disappointed, worried and not being able to keep upto her own resolution to move on... Parth sat next to her.. and kept consoling hand on her shoulder .. Kalpana wiped off tears on realizing his presence too in the room.. she got up and "I will have to end all and move on..." decided Kalpana in a voice to parth.. "But that will not be easy..." retorted Parth.. "I will set it.. and I can move on and find anyone for myself!" snapped back Kalpana...She went towards her drawer... and started apparently messing it desperately. . Making Parth wonder what was she upto...Kalpana continued messing her drawers and dashing from one place to another till she found the piece of metal she has been looking for lying safely in a box in one of her cupboard... She opened box with few tears in her eyes Kalpana barged out from room as Parth stood still.
Kalpana rigourously knocked on Raghav's room door till he opened it frustrated at impatient intruder only to be stunned seeing beautiful woman he had never expected. Kalpana entered the room and memories of last ever being in room came back to her when she saw him kissing Neha... >>> Saatak <<< came the slap on his cheek. "That's for you invading my privacy and forcing that lips on mines... this morning..." Kalpana spoke with anger visible in her eyes... yet with little or no effect of it on Raghav who held his cheek with one hand at and looked down for split of second smirking little...he looked back up.. "I will be waiting for more slaps!!" He said... "Cuz you being my fiance" he stood up and went closer to her "I will continue to shower my rights on your beautiful lips..." he said... only to be met with another tight slap on another cheek with heavy force of small metal on his face... he looked on the floor to find same ring he had made Kalpana wear on their engagement... it didn't hurt him physically but something hurt him seeing that ring lying on floor in his room.As he heard Kalpana scream "I have nothing with you... I am not your fiance nor do you have any right to even touch me.." Raghav looked at her with no words leaving him... as Kalpana continued and "I will prove this to you very soon when I too will get engaged to someone else.. who would be loyal and trustworthy and yet modern of 21st century..." and Kalpi turned to leave.. but Raghav was too shocked to react... Her words were like bullets being shot... Kalpana turned back before stepping out from door and looked at his gloomy face looking down and she added, "And yes most important of all... He Will LOVE me! " Raghav once again looked up at her ... his heart felt pain when she uttered those words with tears in her eyes reflecting her pain...
Raghav was still by window... and for first time tears were something he felt on his cheeks.. as he touched it.. he wiped them off.. "What's happening to me.. Her tears are just so powerful. .. maybe.. or her words were so bitter to break me.. break me?? Am I really hurt?" Questioned Raghav to himself.. "how can I be soo affected by her words and actions. . All I had thought of and known was that she is my fiance and she is mine... but..." soon his eyes fell on that ring lying on floor and he glanced at his ring on finger.."I will once again set thing right Kalpana and this ring will reach you.." thought Raghav, "and I have come to realise one thing that no matter how much I try to forget you.. even in that one year, I always had yearned to see you.. to get forgiveness from you and get those old days back of togetherness.. You..." he paused his own thoughts and looked outside once again taking in freshness from window.. he continued speaking to himself, "You are surely Special to me Kalpana... and I am sure... you won't be able to really move on and away from me.." confessed raghav to himself.. However his chain of thoughts were disturbed with phone ring... he went towards it.. It flashed name *Varun* ... (refer fo chapter ___ Varun had met him when Raghav stalked Prem and Kalpi in restautrent) Raghav picking it up he started denying request on other side. .. but on continuous insistance from Varun and realizing break he too needed Raghav agreed to catch up with hid old pals from London. "Come now!" came the request, "We are Amanda Bar near Dede street!" came the location. Raghav thought for a while before replying, "I will meet you all tomorrow! and anyways it's Sammy's reception so..." but his sentence was cut, "What Sammy got married? Wow, and... Dude, you u cannot come tomorrow for you will be busy, so better come now..!" came instant reply from Varun. Raghav tried reasoning, but all failed, as much he too needed break, Raghav gave in to the demand, "Okay, I will come, but I don't want to go to bar ..." His reply shocked Varun, "You don't want to come to bar, yo man, sexy ladies are dancing here ... We will have fun..." Raghav sighed, and yet again refused, "I want some fresh air and break, by no means would I want to come to noisy place like it," ... Varun was left confused but he agreed.
Feeling freshness from body of water right in front of them, Varun, Raghav and one more friend were seated at some huge rocks near edge of river. Varun offered some bottles of drink to help Raghav, relieve himself from any tension or say to know the reasons behind his worries precisely. It was just few drinks, and time flew by, with Raghav just listening to catch up with what his friends were upto, but nothing seemed to pull away his mind to his friends, as it kept on going back to that face of angry Kalpana. Varun too noticed it and kept his hand on his shoulder, "What's the matter Raghav? We changed the place just for you, yet you don't seem to be with me," asked concern Varun, Raghav smiled mockingly, he looked away, but no words left his mouth, "Is it about money?" he asked, "you need some help with it?" asked Varun, and Raghav nodded in no, "Then what's the matter, please tell us, so we can help you!" asked Varun. Raghav wasn't willing to disclose his innermost things to Varun for now, Yes, Varun was old friend of his and has helped Raghav all throughout, though mostly in things which wouldn't be even considered as morally nice, however he has always been by him, inspite of knowing how wrong he had done with Varun's sister, Varun did help him with exams in London, by showing part of his paper, or getting notes from professor and questions for exam. He also took up blame for Raghav's mistake in football match and was elmininated. Varun had really been a good, loyal and supportive friend; however trust level and comfort between two was not as high, which would help Raghav open up. Sensing discomfort on his face, Varun looked away disappointed, trying to emotionally blackmail him to spit out his heart, and offered some more drink. Varun looked at him with a smile, "Look Raghav, whatever it is, maybe we can work together to help you solve problem!" suggested Varun. Varun kept on suggesting some probable issues, "Is there someone not well in family?" "Is it something related to the new project, do you need finance, employees for it? What is it...?" Not getting reply from Raghav, who was still in trauma, looked at Varun, on suggestion, "Is there any girl whom you want, and you aren't getting, ...?" Varun picking up the cue, smiled, "Who is she and where does she stay? We will make sure, that you get to have her!" assured Varun, "Yaar, and every girl drools over you, and she too will! She will be with yaa for as long as you want and you find new one..." he said laughing to make it lighter, but his words only made Raghav angrier, "She isn't any of those girl!" he screamed breaking the bottle he had been holding... Tears rolled down his eyes, and he was left breathing heavily, wondering, what to say and how to say it... Till turmoil rolling in his heart made him weak and fall down and just let tears flow. Varun who stood there understood seriousness of Raghav and he went to him, and sat next to him, "You are in Love Raghav...!!" Raghav just sat there, not reacting to any of his words, but just listening, Varun smiled, as he added, "Maybe she is the one who is meant to be loved!! and by you..." asked Varun, "You are in love with her!!!" confirmed Varun. Raghav sat there without moving, recalling all the beautiful moments he had spent with Kalpana, before engagement, her smile, their first kiss in rain, their engagement, her being hurt, him missing her and looking at her photo!! Then he looked at Varun... who hugged him, and consoled him.
On the other side, Gauri paced up and down in room, talking on phone, "I am ok, with it, I just want Kalpana to be married, I will this time not repeat my mistake, and give my daughter best she deserves, and definitely one who will be way better than Raghav!!" Gauri heard for a while, "I know Parth is Kapoor's son, but still, if he can keep my daughter happy, I don't care!" affirmed Gauri.
precap: raghav holds her by waist & she wraps her hand around his neck as they inch closer and their lips meet with him pulling her closer and moving his hands her waist under her shirt😉
