Note: Raghav had not hidden anything, or there was no motive for him to act out like he did, except that he didn't really love Kalpana and wish to marry her back then.. :)
Chapter 8:
It was about the time, in evening, when Kalpana finished dressing up Seema for her special day decided to dress up for her sister's sangeet ceremony. Kalpana took out the lehenga she had bought while she went for shopping with Seema the other day, it was green and blue in colour, perfect for this special occassion, which included Sangeet and Mehndi.
As soon as Kalpana came out from the room, she caught attention of every person present in the room, for her gorgeous looks, which suited her features ...

Raghav was taken aback, at the same time, cursed people around him, who kept on staring at Kalpana without a blink. She was all set to take breath away, moment she stepped on last step of the staircase, Raghav who looked equally handsome in his blue sherwani, went by Kalpana, however quick enough she ignored him and passed him to hug seema, who compliments her and Kalpana settles down next to her.
Sammy tries to join them, however he is made to sit, or say literally pushed by other girls of Seema's age to other end, complaining he is ladke wale (Groom's side) and they need to sit over there. Sammy feels helpless as he wishes to peep into mehndi being put into Seema's hand, and Raghav smiles at his antiques...
Flashback,
It was mehndi night for Raghav and Kalpana's marriage very next day. Raghav was sitting on other end, watching dance performance of Sammy and Seema on song of Rockstar, when his eyes hand met with one lady who was seated with her husband. He had known her and smiled, she smiled back making him smirk. She was Neha, while on other end, Kalpana kept stealing glances at Raghav to get his attention, however his attention was on Neha, who didn't really bother at that time.
It was later in evening when Kalpana, came to Raghav who was about to go in his room and she stood out there. "What are you doing here?" he asked, "We aren't suppose to meet till wedding," he added. She came towards him, and stretched her hands out, and showed it to him, "I tried calling you many times even during Mehndi and Sangeet to come and sit by. In tomorrow's rasam, you will have to find your name in my mehndi. It is said, if colour is darker, your would be husband loves you deeper and I pray get it's very dark colour, your name is imprinted so deep in my hands, just like your love," she said and also added, "Waise, mein jaanti hoon, mera haatho mein tumhe apna naam aasani se mil jayega, par phir bhi, just keep check from now!" (I know you will easily find your name in my hand, yet just have a look from now..) she requested. Raghav rolled his eyes, "Kalpi, see I do not really believe in any of these rasams and rituals! so you can just cut it out for now..." he said... Kalpana was disappointed, but seeing this, Raghav came closer to her, "Love's depth no one can guess, it's suppose to be in heart right? So if tomorrow, by any chance colour isn't dark, would you consider me not loving you? or if it's very dark, what's surity, I love you like that?" he asked making her look at him, "It's all matter of your beliefs, if you trust me, that I will fulfill this responsibility of being married, than that's your view... even i don't know anything right now.." he added. Kalpana felt little better and hugged him, making sure her hands won't meet, as they were with mehndi... Kalpana hugged him as she spoke, "I know you will be great husband..." she said. Raghav just kept assuring hand on her back.. not really interested in this whole thing.
Flashback ends..
Raghav smiles recalling those days, which he never really enjoyed, but surely misses that attention and care from Kalpana now. Raghav sees Kalpana has put out her palms for putting mehndi, and feels strong urge to just know what is she planning to put and how will it design come out. Raghav slowly makes his way towards Kalpana and lady, as he tries to peep in. He just stands there and distance not too obvious to be seeing her. Kalpana indeed looked so beautiful, specially as spoke to lady putting mehndi on her hands, and laughs.. It makes her look even more angelic...Lady ultimately asks her, what would she like to put on her hand, "Any special name!" she asked. Kalpana looked at her, and smiled, "Yes please... a very special name... Please write only 'K' there.." she said with a smile. Raghav felt tinge of pain in his heart, not that he expected his own name, but knew that was his wish to see himself somewhere near Kalpana, wished to have had little space in her heart... He knows ... He is well aware she is hurt... But he just wanted one chance to heal, that hurt ... Something inside him to told him to go towards lady and Kalpana and he made sure to slightly push lady when she was almost finishing the K, making her hand move little,and join upper end of letter, making it look alot like "R". Lady and Kalpana looked angrily at Raghav, who was smiling mischievously like after winning the game. Lady shouted at him, "Bhai sahab, jara dekh kar nai chal sakte, mehndi ka shape bigaad diya," (Can't you walk properly, you spoiled the shape of letter!) Raghav looked at Kalpana's hand, "Maine uss letter ko thik se bana diya!" (I made proper shape out of letter!), he said gleefully, making Kalpana take glance of Mehndi in her own hand. Letter "R" made out of her "K" shocked her! She looked at him angrily and stomped towards washroom, as Raghav followed her, assuring everything will be fine, and they should be dancing.. However, ignoring his blabbering, Kalpana reached wash basin and washed off any mehendi she had added! Raghav looked on, as Kalpana came towards him, "I would never want that letter to be imprinted on my hand, after you proved it's colour and darkness do not really matter! and your love was example of how these rituals and sayings do not make sense!" she taunted and left Raghav behind, to ponder upon.
Kalpi sits next to Seema, and picks up mehndi cone, saying she will put it on Seema's hand... She had just began with a small dot on back side of her right hand when a small kid comes to her and pulls her to dance area, for dancing, and Raghav looks on, as she starts dancing. Yes they had rehearsed together, but Kalpana was too involved dancing on her own, she couldn't really start with practice danced till she heard the song...
Song- Saajan Tumse Pyaar Ki Ladai Mein -- Song starts playing, and Kalpana starts playing and dancing in steps as rest of audience and dancers move aside to allow Groom and Bride side family to dance, along with rest all who had practiced the song.

Song ends with Raghav holding her right hand behind her back and her left hand being placed onto his chest and both look into each other's eyes, and are somewhere lost, when louder scream named, "KALPANA!!!" pierced through hustle bustle of ceremony... breaking their trance too, and as Kalpana looked towards door in shock and surprise! A smile appeared on her face confusing Raghav as he looked towards door, and stood confused at the guest who has just reached their door step. Kalpana slightly pushed herself out of Raghav's grip and ran in direction of door, where stood her best friend! She jumped into his arms to hug him tight as he lightly picked her up... "Oh My God! Parth... Now that's called a surprise!" she screamed, making Raghav even more cautious, recalling where he had heard this name! He recalls Prem's words about PARTH and Kalpana being into relationship,... His eyes once again shoots up in direction of Parth! as Kalpana hits him lightly, "You said, you will be here on wedding day! but you came here one day early...!" she screamed in happiness and hugged him again, "Yes... anything have that smile and laughter on your face!" he said hugging her back, as Raghav looked on and Seema smiled at the scene in front.
