Kangana Alia

Queen was a mediocre film which became a rage only because of Kangana and partly because of the novelty of a desi girl travelling alone and spreading her wings.

Nobody has the power to make a mediocre film a rage unless you're one of the top 5-6 stars we have. So for you to say that Kangana MADE Queen a rage - its not true otherwise all of her films would be rage's lol...

Queen was a successful "package" - storyline, WOM,hype, good acting, good music, strong performances.

A movie cannot be a hit because of a single factor such as the actor involved! Shandaar is a flop because the story sucks, not because Alia or Shahid didnt do their job.

Plus i think Shandaar earned more in its opening week than Katti Batti - just saying! And I am a huge Kangana fan by the way lol, but there is no way what you're saying is true!

Kangana is better than Alia. In, looks, acting , everything...I think shes a bigger star than her too, but I wouldn't go as far as your post to say that Queen was a hit only because of Kangana

A story is good if the characters are well written with good dialoguesand than it depends on the actors how much they can pull out of it. I cant say anything to Shaandar because i didnt watch it. But Queen was really good because of the story and the character and the way Kangana acted in it. Hmm maybe the story was true that Vikas stole the story or just copied the movie he saw from a struggling director dont know anymore who it was but there was someone who claimed that he stole it from her. So seeing all the bash he gets for Shaandar might be true that it was not his own vision. And actually seeing Queen and than seeing Shaandars trailer and promos is like twoo whole different worlds a director still stick too his own style which he actually didnt follow. Even Anurag who tried to do his movie more commercial still stuck to his dark world and style.

Queen was a good story, its screenplay was a bit of mishmash. But the novelty of the central idea of a rejected girl going alone on her honeymoon was what made it interesting! People could empathize with her, could marvel at her transformation from a mousy girl to a confident woman!

No I disagree. Shaandaar was a bad film. Waste of actors- shahid and Alia are good actors and deserve a better script.

Also I feel vikas bahl is a one hit wonder filmmaker. I don't think he is a great director- yea queen had a good story and all- but bahls execution as a director sucks. The acting and storyline made queen what it is
