Why AMITRA RAO refused Prem Ratan Dhan Payo?

Amrita Rao is best known for her film, Vivaah that had established her as a good girl with plenty of virtues, thanks to the Barjatyas.

Now, it has come out that Amrita Rao had been approached for the role of Salman's sister in the film, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.

But the actor had refused to play the role. The actor had even been persuaded by Salman Khan himself, but eventually the role went to Swara Bhaskar who is becoming a very talented and important name in the Hindi film industry.

Sources close to Amrita have said that she is busy shooting for The Jodhpur Jewelry TV show. As per sources, the role of Salman's sister that is being played by Swara will have plenty of grey shades and she will have to show them in the movie. Perhaps, this image would have hampered Amrita's good girl image!

Swara had drawn our attention with her films like Ranjhanaa and more recently in Tanu Weds Manu Returns. Swara is looking very pretty as the girl from the royal family in the Prem Ratan Dhan Payo as we got to see from the trailer of the film.

Prem Ratan Dhan Payo is directed by Sooraj Barjatya and has Salman Khan and Sonam Kapoor in the lead. It also has Anupam Kher, Swara Bhaskar, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Shabana Azmi in main roles. Salman himself is supposedly playing double roles in the film. The film is going to be released this Diwali on 12th November and the songs like Jalte Diye and the title track have already become very popular.

I think the real reason was she did not want to lay second fiddle to iKaun... as she is more talented, more beautiful and much more popular den Sonam.

She deserves to play the heroine's role, not some second fiddle to second rung actress
