Lovely, lovely post Kavya...for a lovely episode. 😊
Three things really stood out for me in yesterday's episode:
One, the scene between Sansku and Lucky, which clearly delineated the difference between the cousins. The brat wants to force his love down Swara's throat, despite being clearly told her love for him was in the past, now she sees him as her sister's husband, that's it. (I am waiting for the day she will tell Yucky she sees him as her husband's brother...but Chalo, maybe we have to wait a bit for that! 😉)
On the other hand, we have Sanskaar, who says, as he always does, that he will not force any decision on Swara. He will talk to her (in this case for Lucky), but will abide by what she decides. someone please tell Swara, that not being in love with Sanskaar by this time, is a glaring example of foolishness 😉
Second, the lovely small smile on Sanskaar's face, when Swara told him so clearly she would NEVER accept Lucky back in her life. The best part was, when Sansku asked her if she would capitulate to family pressure or Lucky's whining/begging 😉, Swara didn't give an impulsive, outraged response. She took a second, drew a breath, and THEN gave a considered, measured response, that Lucky and her relationship was in the PAST.
I think Sansku felt a real load lift off his mind then. I feel that somewhere, the guilt of separating Swara from Lucky was still preying on his mind. Though he tried his best to tell the truth at the wedding, and it was Lucky who decided to marry Ragini, possibly Sansku felt guilty for encouraging Ragini in the first place.
I feel, if Swara had shown even a vague interest in getting back with Lucky, perhaps even a slight indecisiveness, Sansku would have done his best to reunite them, even though he would be lacerating his own heart to do so. That guy. ...he would literally cleave himself in two, to give Swara what she wants 😊
So when Swara says, with absolute clarity, that she DOES NOT want Lucky, Sansku, I am sure, felt free of that lingering guilt, and also felt relieved. He still won't force his love on Swara, but I'm sure, the fact that she needs him, depends on him, has given him some hope. Plus, thankfully, she has realized how foolish and impulsive she was in breaking the friendship with him. She HAD to stop doing that, BTW. It was puzzling the first time, irritating the second. If it comes the 3rd time, I am flying to Kolkata personally to knock sense into her!
Lastly, that lovely dialogue where Sanskaar says, just as she told him, she'll be there whenever he needs her, likewise he'll always be there for her. Plus, he gives her full rights to take him for granted ---after all they are "friends". 😉 I have had several very good friends whom I could depend on for anything, but I don't think just "friendship" allows you to take your friend for granted. 😆 That pretty much spells the beginning of the end for a friendship. Surely, Swara madam ought to know what hubby is hinting at, no? 😳
Thanks for the post Kavya. Absolute pleasure to read, as always. I didn't reply to your kdr of Thursday as I was on travel, but it was a lifesaver ---I missed the episode, and only your analysis could console me. 😆
