the people in USA have a lot to invest money into healthcare and so does govt have the money unlike India.... if u compare mumbai to NY health care i am sure u will face more problems in NY.... the thing is that they are not comarable.... the poppulation in India is very high and the nuber of hospitals and beds is comparatively too less.... (I have done project on this while financing a hospital in Mumbai).... considering all the problems Indian healthcare system is just doing great.... 😊

..The guess the question here was whether America should socialize its healthcare system like many of its allies.. however the discussion became a comparison of Indian and the American health care system..

I honestly think America should socialize there healthcare system .. problems and hardships may arise is the begiinning but i am sure in the long run it will be a smart move and our generations to come wont face the same difficulities in paying for healthcare as us.😊

I agree Meena. One good thing is that atleast we have realized it to be a faulty system instead of being happy about seemingly doing better than other countries. Let us see where the knowledge takes us in terms of takin wise and proactive corrective steps.

Now it is the days of Health tourism here. A lot of foreigners are came here for heart operations, kidney problems, dentistry etc. Now here are a lot of hospitals which has the modern equipments as well as qualified doctors of world standards.( In cochin itself has a lot of good hospitals) even the lowly paid employees treat there relatives in these hospitals with the help of payment of medicalbills by the employers/Govt. (evenif it is half only).

In some of the hospitals (other than Government Medical college) such as Amita Insitute of health care run by Mata Amritanandamayi etc., help poor people to under go coastly teatment ( excellent doctors came from all part of India)
Now a days there is much difference in the concept of privacy here in India also. Here is a joke that Kerala is the hatchery of para - medical experts for the world such as nurses and lab technicians etc.,
