I don't watch YVR. But just commenting seeing the topic. If YVR is inspired by Revenge, then of course it is the second show in Indian TV to do so. Starplus's Ek Hasina Thi was hugely inspired from Revenge.
Only the theme for revenge was different. That the leading lady comes to get justice for her raped sister and dead parents. And many in the forum used to say the anatagonist Sakshi Goenka's mannerisms reflects that of Victoria Greyson.
EHT also had 4 men but they ensured they were kept in such a way so that Indian sensibilities are not hurt. So Nolan became Dr Dayal father figure and guardian. Aiden became Aakash fighter , Daniel Shaurya the anatagonist and Dev Jack Amanda's love.
SP ended EHT prematurely as it took some time for EHT to get the TRPs though it was a very different and magnificent show with top notch performance by all characters.
I hope YVR does not get EHTs fate if it is inspired from Revenge and let it live long enough to unfold the thriller that Revenge is.

I am not quite sure what to say. I opened this thinking, Nah! But then I read your post and you make very valid points.

Would they really make Survi a girl that would seek revenge? The good little Survi? I don't have a problem with this, but Indian tv seems to. They did do something similar with another show, but in a very convoluted way...

Good post.

thank you. Glad you liked it.
Yes, I too don't think the serial would be brave enough to venture down the same path, but maybe the CVs might adapt the story in a way that still holds semblance to what Revenge stood for with regards to the plot.

I never watched Ek Hasina Thi, but I hope YVR doesn't suffer the same fate.
