I feel he is perfect fit to Bajirao.. If there is someone who doesnt fit, then its the ladies PC and DP.. DP hardly looked her part, she looks pretty bland and like a modern girl stuck in traditional clothes.. She looked better as Leela than Mastani.. PC is another misfit.. Girl sure can act but she is so pretty if Im Bajirao Ill never look at another girl if I have such a good looking wife at home.. Plus PC doesnt have the old world beauty look just like DP.. Ranveer is the best thing about BM for now..

ranbir looks too boyish and goofy to be bajirao

srk looks too old and wrinkled for it..

salman would have made it vert filmy and larger than life

sidhant cannot act for peanuts..no way SLB would even consider him for a cameo

ranveer is good enough..if any one else then only HR

Lookwise he is apt actually, has the manliness and intense eyes, and very few can look so good with a bald head. Hrithik is very good in historicals but he would look weird with a shaved head😕Ranbir is innocent boyish,So is sidhant. Varun wouldnt look that good either.Lookwise ranveer is very suitable for the role, ab acting kaisi ki hai ye to movie dekhneke bad pata chalega

"Hum Mastani Se Mohabbat Ki Hein, Ayshi Nahi" required a baritone voice. Ranveer lacked it. Having said, I don't know which younger actor has such a voice. I can't imagine Hritik in another period drama.

My answer would be, he is not THAT good. But don't know who could have been better.

I completely agree that the lead cast is a misfit. SLB should have really paid more attention to this. Who knows how effective this decision will be. In my opinion, he should have gotten Chitragandha to play Kashibai, Bajirao played by Akshay Khanna and finally Mastani played by PC.

If the focus for SLB is to have most popular actors amongst mass then it's wrong and a complete miscast. With the amount of publicity that's done to promote a film these days all three leads would have created enough hype to boost the film value. I just hope that SLB learns a thing or two
