Box Office - Wedding Pullav, Jazbaa, Singh Is Bliing, Talvar Saturday Update

With Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 ruling the Box Office, it has been pretty much a one horse race in theaters. Combined collections of another new releaseWedding Pullav and holdover releases Jazbaa, Singh Is Bliing and Talvar is just around 2 crore which pretty much tells the tale.

Here is the update:

Wedding Pullav couldn't grow at all on Saturday. With first day being disastrous, the second day wasn't any better. The film has managed less than50 lakhs in its first two days.

Jazbaa stayed brought in around 95 lakhs on Saturday. The film has so far collected 23.3 crore.

Talvar added another 70 lacs to its kitty and stands at 27.15 crore currently.

Singh Is Bliing is almost through with its theatrical run. With minimal collections on Friday and Saturday (around 75 lakhs), the film stands at 90.25 crore

If one discounts Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 then by and large it has been a very poor weekend at the Box Office. Daily capacity in theaters screening Hindi films is over 50 crore and to have just around 10 crore come in (from films playing currently) pretty much conveys that overall occupancy is just 20%.

A point to ponder indeed!

still it opened huge with no known faces

and has been scoring well. Not an easy feat

and yes audience would prefer it..like they did with yaariyan to dedh ishqiya..

but it does indicate that jazba is pretty much done with an expected lifetime of 25cr max on a budget of 33cr..similar to katti batti's case

4 movies combined collected 2 crores. That is embarrassing to say the least

seems like PKPN2 is in a one horse race as said..it is ruling the cinemas

Bahurani can't give takkar to newcomers and after this her next clash will be with Salman Khan Dabangg 3 next diwali 🤣

I have never expected kis kis Jo piyar karon and piyar ka punchnaama2 will be hit. The star cast is so fresh and no star kids but they still made it 👏 I think all ppl should back pkp2.

and bahurani movie released on 2500 screens lol while PKP2 on 1400 screens even it suprasses deepu maata piku 😆

Well obviously... pKp2 is a sequel to a big hit. There's a reason there's a sequel, isn't it obvious? It's a rage amongst the youth. The first installments monologue went viral on YouTube. The movie would've eaten up any movie against it - doesn't take a genius to figure this one out.

Also comedy genre is a whole other ball game. You're comparing a comedy movie to a depressing dark film.

not comparing anything

just saying that i don't find 23cr in 2 weeks on a 2500 screens with a budget of 33cr anything spectacular or even borderline decent

which pretty much makes it a flop

so aish should ask sanjay if he didn't plan it properly since she believes no movie can flop if planned properly..in fact she shoud ask this to the makers of 90% of movies she has starred in

eventually aish's comeback was on madhuri's line..not a sridevi for sure
