Has Aish proven her comeback superiority over Karishma, Madhuri, etc.?

😉 Jazbaa's first week is impressive to me. A female oriented movie making over 20 crore is decent. And Aish headlined this movie herself. So it is better than Karishma and Madhuri's efforts for coming back into Indian cinema. Plus she has ADHM, Sarabit movie, etc. Why can't the media give the final verdict of Jazbaa? And has she proven her comeback superiority over Karishma, Madhuri, etc.? 😲 Please share your thoughts.

Yes she has, the film opened well considering its genre and how similar films like NH10 did. Reviews were good too and she was well-received by most of the critics. A nomination is guaranteed for Best Actress for all the film awards of next year.
But the game has just started, she has Sarabjit biopic, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Durga Rani Singh and Mani Ratnam's film coming up.

Madhuri is almost 10 years older than Ash so please stop the silly comparisons. If Ash can make a comeback at that age and make it work, we will see.

And if you have to compare her to Karisma, who everyone considers a big flop now, that says a lot.

Of course. Definitely much better than Madhuri all 3 disastrous comebacks... Karisma's doesn't even come into the picture, it is one of the biggest and most embarrassing disasters.

Jazbaa's trend at the BO as of now is similar to EV, and EV is a light family film. Jazbaa is a dark non-family friendly film, yet it is doing well. The business in the first week is same as NH 10, mardaani etc.

The film is also the 10th biggest opener overseas, despite the limitations of the genre and bad promotions. It is rocking overseas!

It has been received well critically. Aishwarya's performance has been praised immensely and deservedly so. She was simply F A N T A S T I C in the film. She was powerful, intense, tough, emotional, gritty...Just awesome.

You also have to take into account how many screens the movie actually released on. Jazba released on a LOT of screens (it takes money to book theaters). I don't know how many screens the others released on but I'm sure it was lesser.

Again, Sridevi is much older than Ash so why compare with her? And Aishwarya can't ever match Sridevi's career. Sri's career graph was simply amazing.

Madhuri is 48 and Aish will turn 42. That is not almost 10 years? 😕😆 This is not a silly comparison. What happened to Aaja Nachle, Dedh Ishqiya, etc.? And Karisma should continue doing roti and soap ads. 🤣

Aaja Nachle probably did the same as Jazba.. both flops. LOL

You can't compare actual numbers because that was years ago when ALL movies were doing less business, even the big blockbusters. And there was less inflation.

And there are much harder comparisons like Kajol to deal with. Ash getting ADHM is supposed to be a big deal but Kajol getting Dilwale is not? 😆

I don't think Ash left anywhere to make a come back...She kept herself present in the scene even though she didn't 'act' in any movies per say...Karisma and Madhuri completely disappeared before they made a so called come back...So the comparison is not even fair...

Kajol is overrated. Let her do a Jazbaa first and get out of her comfort zone. 😉

Talking of comfort zones, what comfort zone did Aishwarya get out of doing Jazbaa?? Her role in Jazbaa is very much a commercial one...Even when she was crying and falling all over the place, the director and the actor made sure that every last strand of hair is in place...

Jazbaa is no Raincoat...the movie and her character in it is pretty mediocre!
