Point Proven: Hakla Khan fans defending his arrogance justifying it as humour 😆😆 Hakla Khan can get away with committing any crime his fans are ever so read to justify and defend him.

Had Hakla Khan not believed in himself he would never have been a part of Bollywood. It takes confidence and some level of delusion to believe with that face he would be a Bollywood hero and he would rule over the city (as stated by his friend).

Hakla Khan is arrogant and only his fans deny that. Someone like Kangana in the meanwhile gets crucified.

^^Oh please. You do realize that different people actually say those things, right? I see plenty of hatred against SRK's "arrogance" just like you're doing right now so he's not getting any different treatment than Sonam is.

Obviously his fans will defend him just like the Sonam fans here are praising her and thanking god for how honest she is. In fact, most of the Sonam (unholy alliance with Salman fans due to PRDP) fans are the same ones who would run to the SRK topics to bash him while praising the same behavior from her.

Anyway, it's fine if Sonam wants to praise herself. But most of the time people who hype themselves so much constantly are the same ones who are actually really insecure from the inside.

The best way to judge this is to watch SRK topics and Kangana topics.

Kangana gets bashed a LOT more for her arrogance. There are some people calling out SRK on his arrogance but for the most part he is justified.

You are entitled to your beliefs, but from what I have seen on this forum over the years women get criticized a lot more for their arrogance than men. Starting from Kareena to Kangana.

Even if someone like Varun passes an arrogant remark tomorrow he will be criticized less than a Kangana. His arrogance might even be viewed as confidence or that he has earned it as a result of his success.

Everything isn't about male and female.

Kangana gets bashed because she's an upstart and hasn't proven much yet but talks as if she's been ruling the industry for eternity. She has 2 hits and has gone crazy. Someone like SRK has 25 years behind him.

If you want to talk big, you better be able to back it up.

Anyway, about Sonam, she reminds me of some fat girls I knew who lost a lot of weight. Their ego bloated to enormous proportions after that and their whole personality changed. Sonam was an unattractive chubster who is suddenly a movie star wearing Chanel and Prada and getting signed by Loreal. It makes perfect sense why she can't stop praising herself.

They also have a lot of chamchas around them who are always telling them what they want to hear and eventually they start believing it. I bet there are people who have told her she looks 20 years old, including her superfans. I don't think she's lying about it.

I don't know why everything has to turn into a man vs woman thing?!?! Which is such bullshit, since when is the content on this forum anything to go on by?? In the real world I hear people call out SRK's arrogance SO much...and nobody I know cares enough about Sonam to even talk about her arrogance!

There is a difference between confidence and self-conceitedness. A fine line exists between the two but people over here like to erase that line when it comes to their convenience or when it comes to a celebrity they like. What a joke! Confidence is sexy, confidence is great - confidence is NOT constantly praising yourself. Confidence is knowing what you are worth and being happy with yourself regardless of your flaws. It is being secure in the knowledge that you are a great person and ACTING secure. You know you're great you don't need to talk about how great you are. People who constantly compliment themselves are not secure...they are either insecure about themselves and constantly need self-validation or are just plain narcissists. This has nothing to do with men or women. It is a human thing. Either you are a narcissist HUMAN or not. Fans will defend their favourites all the time, but normal people know that both men and women can be full of shit because it has nothing to do with gender, but more with who you are as a person.

Even with 25 years of him he isn't exactly that great. You may justify it in terms of experience, but his work isn't exactly stellar to earn the right to some of his arrogant statements if arrogance has to be earned in terms of experience.

And I don't hate on SRK for his arrogance. He can call himself the best actor in the world and I might find it amusing but I would rather watch him be honest than be diplomatic. I dislike his pretentious personality whenever he pretends to be humble when he is not.

Regardless of man or woman I am occassionally annoyed by their arrogance but they can be as arrogant as they want. I don't believe in one sided quotes - self confidence is quiet or whatever. We are all different. Someone may be quiet about themselves while someone else might be loud. People are entitled to their own beliefs whatever works for them. They do not need to people please anyone. What is frustrating to watch in Bollywood are actors pretending to be humble when they are not.

Hate to break it to you but people are full of contradictions. How do you know someone is just pretending to be humble? They can easily be proud of one thing but dislike something else about themselves. It doesn't mean they are fake or just pretending or that loudmouths like Sonam are the only honest ones.

SRK might brag about his accomplishments but he is also very self-deprecating at other times. I have often seen him say that he's the ugliest actor in BW and that he has no style and wears the same clothes from 5 years ago. He has also admitted to making flop movies like Paheli. It makes him more relatable and likable (not for Salman fans who are intent on hating him due to competition but neutral people) that he can say bad things about himself too.

On the other hand, you have people like Sonam and Kangana who will nonstop praise themselves but never have anything unpleasant to say about themselves. Heck, even Kareena is not so bad and has admitted to making terrible movies in the past.

I don't even mind Sonam. I think she's entertaining but she really does think the sun shines out of her arse.
