All the men in Kareena's life
The Kareena- Shahid breakup or the Kareena-Saif link up is quite in the news these days. Indiatimes Movies looks at the various men that Kareena Kapoor has been linked before in the past.
Hrithik Roshan:
It all began with the Hrithik Roshan affair. Just before the release of Subhash Ghai's Yaadein, reports of their affair had come up. Good timing for Subhash Ghai as his film got a lot of publicity but bad news for Hrithik Roshan as these rumors came just before his marriage to his wife Suzanne.
Hrithik Roshan and Kareena were supposed to make their acting debuts in Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai before the latter opted out. In fact, Hrithik's father Rakesh Roshan even paid for Kareena's acting classes. Their first film together was Yaadein but despite the word of their affair, it did not deter them from starring in many more films to come. They came together in Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon and Mujhse Dosti Karoge.
Hrithik is still happily married and he and the actress are very cordial with each other.
Shahid Kapur
Kareena had always been open about her relationship with Shahid Kapur. Their romance began on the sets of Ken Ghosh's Fida.
There were sparks in the air and we soon welcomed one of Bollywood's most celebrated young couple. This however, surely wasn't a publicity stunt for Fida as the two were together for quite some time.

Fardeen Khan
Apart from Shahid Kapur, there were also whispers of Kareena's secret affair with the then single stud Fardeen Khan during the outdoor schedule of Fida. The two went onto star in Govind Nihalani's Dev and the two had their second on-screen kiss in the film after Fida. These rumors slowly died down when one saw the strong Shahid-Kareena relationship.
But Shahid must have felt a pinch on Fardeen's comment on the Koffee with Karan show. "Rani (Mukherjee) is someone you take home to your mother and Kareena is someone you take to Mauritius."
Saif Ali Khan
Saif is the latest in the rumored Kareena affair list. There was word of a Kareena-Shahid split and who turns out to be her next co-star? Yes – Saif Ali Khan.
Word first came out during the shooting of Yash Raj's next film Tashan which stars the two apart from Anil Kapoor and Akshay Kumar. They were photographed together and if reports are to be believed they were also spotted dining at various restaurants all over.
Shahid on the other hand was busy shooting in Canada for Aziz Mirza's film with Vidya Balan.

A twist in the tale Now the latest reports are that it was not Kareena's infidelity but Shahid's growing closeness to Ishq Vishk co-star Amrita Rao. The two have starred in four films together (Ishq Vishk, Shikhar, Vaah! Life Ho To Aisi and Vivah) and they also delivered their first hit together in the form of Vivah. Not much is known about this but maybe we can dismiss this as just another media speculation. |
Publicity gimmick? Like we mentioned earlier, Kareena was always open about her relationship with Shahid. So why are they quiet about it now? Have they parted ways amicably or is this just another way of promoting their upcoming film Jab We Met? The duo's films together have never worked at the box-office before. So with all eyes or Om Shanti Om and Saawariya (Jab We Met releases a week earlier), is this their way to generate curiosity to get the always curious public in? Jab We Met director Imtiaz Ali says, "I don't think Shahid and Kareena will go to such extents to promote a film. They don't need such publicity." "Kareena and I are very different as actors. I am an absolute contrast to her. She gets irritated with me sometimes because I behave like Einstein!", says Shahid. "Why does one even need a man?' said Kareena on Rendezvous with Simi Garewal. She seems to have come a long way since then. |
