Thanks for this awesome post. 😊
Wishing a very happy birthday to Jalal-ud-din Mohammad Akbar, one of the greatest rulers India has seen.🥳 Happy Birthday to the visionary leader, APJ Abdul Kalam as well. 🥳
This post clearly highlights the large-heartedness of Rana Veersal. I am amazed at the mehmaan nawazi of the Rana of Amarkot. He treated the Mughals as his own family members, which is truly commendable and is an example relevant in today's age even. A big salute to him. 👏⭐️
And, about Akbar, He is a fascinating as well as a complex personality. His spiritual journey, evolution as a human being, social reforms, everything is outstanding. 👏⭐️ I am a very big admirer of his and know that there are many more. May he be remembered as a great monarch and a wonderful and fascinating human being for centuries to come. 😳

Abhay and Radhika, thank you for reminding us readers about the birthday of one of the finest rulers of India, Jalal-ud-din Muhammad Akbar Padshah.

That centuries after his reign, we are still discussing this benevolent ruler, speaks volumes about this personality who did not allow his learning disabilities to hinder his progress as an able warrior, progressive thinker, astute administrator and above all a tolerant Shehenshah.

Speaking of tolerance, how can I not mention the large heartedness of Rana Veersal of Amarkot, The Rana could have considered Humayun a Turkish invader and attacked him. Instead, he not only gave him shelter but accorded the best treatment to a heavily pregnant teenaged wife of Humayun, Hamida Begum, who later gave birth to Jalal-ud-din Muhammad. The pictures clearly indicate that Jalal's birth was celebrated with great happiness just like any rajput royal's. Therefore it is clear that the Rana was a very tolerant ruler himself.

As you have aptly mentioned, Akbar's affinity towards the Rajputs that started even before he was born, lasted his entire lifetime and beyond.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this article. I can never thank you enough, for keeping us informed about interesting aspects of history and feeding our curiosity by wanting to read more.

Happy 473rd Birthday to Jalal-ud-din Muhammad Akbar Padshah.

Happy Birthday to my favorite Shehenshah...Jalaludin Mohammad Akbar!

Great post Abhay!. Thanks for sharing this fascinating information of about Akbar's birth. Akbar was destiny's child indeed.
He shared a very close and symbiotic relationship with the Rajputs right from his birth. One only has to visit his tomb and Fatehpur Sikhri to see the strong bond between Akbar and the Rajputs.

I loved your opening lines in this post. It is ironic that Akbar who had absolutely no Indian blood in him became as native as any Indian King could be.
Contrast that with say Shah Jehan who was 75% Rajput/ Indian but hardly made any attempt to assimilate into his native culture.

Thank you Abhay for your awesome post!

For a moment I felt I was travelling in the past. What a troublesome period did Humayun and Hamida Bhanu have to go through...I feel sorry for Akbar who was made by Bhairam Khan and Maham Anga and others close to him , to hate his parents wrongly for his neglected childhood.
You sure have made a great effort to write this article with the original illustrations, and three cheers for you!
