So suppose Shagun had indeed turned into a new leaf

is surrogacy acceptable then ?

I have been feeling that there is an unwritten expectation that Shagun will shed her saint Shagun skin and show her true colors about the surrogacy. How she manipulated everything . Even in the OLV all the talk was directed at Shagun's character.

My question is what if Shagun is indeed a saint, who is doing this out of the benevolence of her heart... Will that make surrogacy a go?

I have my reservation about this track.. And though we all know this track was conceived to forcefully add Shagun as the third arm of an erstwhile non-existent triangle... But as I started read the Wu, watching the OLVs ... My mind has completely changed as far as surrogacy is concerned.

It is a struggle because .. it is independent of Shagun's colors. And it deals with one of my favorite aspects of YHM.

I'll add ... But I want to see what is the biggest issue about surrogacy in you guys mind?

Ishita's eggs were used without her permission, if she can be okay with that then will it really matter what Shagun be?
The conflict should and is between Ishita and Raman, can a woman except a man making a decision for her womb? Shagun or anyone else be peripheral , by focusing on her we are numbing out the real trouble here.

This is such a complicated issue. I'm gonna use a very bad analogy, please bear with me. Once someone is shot fatally, if the assassin keeps shooting, it'll just be additional wounds and pain, but those additional shots won't really be the reason why the victim died. This situation for me is similar. The fact that Shagun is the surrogate increases the humiliation, and betrayal but that's not the reason why I'm repulsed by the track or against surrogacy- it's because Ishita didn't want surrogacy and she expressed her opinion again and again in no uncertain terms; it's because Raman thought that cheating her into signing a consent form was okay; it's because he still doesn't understand that a baby isn't a 'thing' you gift your wife- it's a life that both of you dream about, anticipate the arrival of and experience the whole journey. So Shagun might be the extra round of bullets but Raman had already pulled the trigger of the fatal blow.

On the other hand, Shagun makes the situation way worse- like if some psycho killer kills someone and works on the dead body- it's way more macabre than just killing the person (another bad analogy, I know!).

The answer to your question is, No, Gan, I'm not okay with this surrogacy. Even if Shagun wasn't the surrogate I'd still not be okay due to Raman's course of action.

Irrespective of shagun's nature, the way in which the surrogacy handled is completely wrong. Atleast if DTS remains good she will hand over the kid to ishra, now if she turns to her true color even that will lead to another custody case. But the fact of the matter is cvs inappropriately handled this track.
In no way ramans action can be justified so they simply want to divert the issue.
on a lighter note: CVs dont like people like us who remembers everything what they showed and point out it later😉

Tricky!
I believe that no matter how black, white or grey she is, relationships with an ex-wife will always be delicate and a line needs to be maintained to avoid any complications...and having her as a surrogate mother to your kid is definitely crossing that line😕

For someone who is supposedly in love with his wife..He has a funny way of showing it..

When he couldn't take into account his wife's feelings on such an important thing of their life... then what is love?
Being callous and oblivious to her feelings is surely not the way...

Shagun is just an added nuisance..
& Saint or No Saint , why would anyone go for ex-wife even if they are positive for surrogacy.. 😡

@bold yes the day Raman duped Ishita into consenting for surrogacy...Shagun became irrelevant in the overall scheme of things. He betrayed Ishita's trust.. Without Shagun even in the scene... So how does it matter what Shagun's intensions are... For all it matters.. Raman was on his own, deciding unilaterally what Ishita needs in her life.. So in my mind Shagun is a non-entity...she adds insult to the wound... But the first cut.. The deadly one is inflicted by none other than Raman ( extending you analogy 😆) ... How does a couple go past this? Because doesn't his action shake the very foundation of their relatiinship?
