It's so difficult to pick because the drama had so many enjoyable & memorable moments.
I loved all the funny moments, but my favourites would be the more serious scenes, because they really make you understand why a drama like this is truly different. Its a drama that really made you root for the leads, not just because of some stupid childhood connection they had, but how the drama so beautifully established their connection in that nobody else could ever replace what the two of them meant to each other -
1. When Do Hyun goes back up to the terrace where Ri Jin saved him & he notices that Ri Jin has sprayed 'heal me' over the words 'kill me'. It was such an impactful scene that beautifully explained Ri Jin & Do Hyun's journey.
2. When Ri Jin returns back to Shin Se Gi & they sit by each other all night with Ri Jin staring at Se Gil while he has these tears in his eyes. Then in the morning, when Ri Jin wakes up & calls Se Gi by his name, causing him to smile brightly. This scene very subtly explained Se Gi's desire to be loved as well as his love for Ri Jin. After all Se Gi was created to protect Ri Jin.
3. Do Hyun rescuing Ri Jin from that storage & the motorcycle riding out while the background was in flames. And Ri Jin holding on to Do Hyun tightly while the voiceover was Ri Jin asking Do Hyun his name & asking to play with him. The scene wasn't only dramatic, but beautifully conveyed their past connection as children.
4. Ri Jin rescuing Yo Sub when he's about to suicide & Do Hyun subsequently explaining to his secretary that it would be nice if he had someone calling out to him that way each time he had an attack. My heart cried for Do Hyun here.
5. Ri Jin & Do Hyun riding something (i forgot it was) & seeing their childhood selves smiling & waving at them. And Ji Sung's song playing in the background. Just PERFECT. Probably one of the most powerful scenes of the drama that left a deep impact. Made me wonder, if all that didn't happen they would have had such a happy childhood of love without all that hurt & pain.
6. The ending scene of the show where both Do Hyuns lie in the park with the beautiful voiceover of how everyone has a basement in their lives & all they need is to muster the courage to hold someone's hand & confront it.
There are so many more beautiful moments, & of course all the hilarious moments but then I will end up writing most of the scenes, so I'll just leave it at this.
Damn, I need to re-watch this show again.
