Hello Sweetest Folks,

Last week there was Armaan's issue of resigning from the duties of an intern😒 … and the reason was attachment to his patient. This question has risen couple of times in the show and may continue in the future too… whether by Armaan, Riddhima, or Sapna.

Doctors – who are certified to give medical treatment and try their level best to cure someone from the knowledge they have gained😊. They are licensed to provide healing… have skills to improve health… have taken responsibility to ensure our well being! Docs have the art to repair broken bones… style to fix dysfunctional organs…even know the fashion of opening our hearts under anesthesia…quite privileged😉! They deserve a lot of credit and hats off to them for their challenging occupation👏.

Many times, our society adds rigidness to a doctor's profession... is that fair😕? Agreed they should focus on treating the patient, but should emotions be scratched out completely? Giving remedies or healing someone sure is a remarking job, but should human values be discouraged in the process? Why is attachment not a good thing for doctors to show🤔? How can a patient trust their doctors when reciprocation is in plain technical terms of sickness? Strictness and rules ofcourse are needed, but are they more meaningful than sharing kindness and bonding with patients? 😳

In DMG, 2 forms of doctors have been portrayed – one who highlights the illness to be cured over the patients' feelings (ex. Dr. Kirti or Dr. Anjali) and the other who conduct medicine practice, but not by blocking sentiments and readily forming relationships with patients (ex. Dr. Armaan or Dr. Sapna or Dr. Riddhima)! There are some setbacks for both groups, but who do you believe does their job more efficiently and why?

So, what do you sweeties feel about this matter? God forbid, but if something happened and you needed medical attention – what kind of doc would you liked to be served by😉? I would love to hear your views or experiences on this subject! Thanks and take care everyone… stay well😃!

-Love4ever!

(P.S. - Opinions are personal... so all responses must be respected - no judgements should be made about anyone's character... whether they support rigid or caring doc.)

Very good question, Love4ever. Here's my take. I would want a caring doctor who wants to help patients. Because I have seen far too many doctors who are just in it for the money or they are too cold and clinical. I want someone who understands the feelings of his patients and doesn't walk away unfeeling for them.

👏that's truly what I feel...
BUT
I think doctors need to kill their emotions some time because if they get disturbed or all sad on a mishap; their life is gonna become a hell. I mean medicine is a tough profession as far as emotions are concerned...
Most doctors, even if they start out being emotionally attached, have to detach themselves from the patients and the whole trauma of death because that's the only way out. They gotta get used to their jobs or they will fail in their profession....😕

I also think Angie is an exception because she is like "mean" to her patients..So definitely her approach is totally wrong...

I no when i say this, i'll seem like a very cold hearted person...But i would want a doctor to fix me and make me better, not be emotionally attached to me, i mean i already have enough people to care for me.. A doctor's job is supposed to cure you from illness..Whether it be with care of whatever else..But i would agree with Dr Keerti on this one even though most people wouldn't because obviously Armaan's attachment to mini wouldn't even let him but an injection on her..And this is dangerous to mini..Personally i wouldn't want a doctor who gets emotionally attached, because it most likely lower my chances of surviving. For doctors who dont get attached a sickness is like a mission to fix someone and they have to win, if the person dies then they lose. But for a doctor who gets attached there emotions just come between the patient's sickness and the treatment.

And say something did happen to the patient, what would happen to the emotionally attached doc? He would be in bits..

P.S--I swear i am not a cold hearted person😳😳
