Tere sheher mein, once the most promising show of Star plus has taken the viewers on a roll-a-coaster ride with their "unwanted" twists and tracks. When it began, the show was about Amaya Mathur, a carefree spendthrift daughter of the millionaire father Rishi Mathur who unexpectedly had to face the harsh reality of life after her father's demise. The soap had promised to show a strong girl supporting her family and being independent with the help of her lover, Mantu and getting adjusted to the hustle-bustle of the city of Banaras. Hence the name,"TERE SHEHER MEIN". The show focused more on women empowerment initially. True love between the love birds (popularly known as ManYa) was yet another attraction of the show. The sparkling chemistry between the leads was discussed worldwide. But all this ended in a flash of light!!
Suddenly, the writers were changed and new writers came up with a forced twist of Amaya getting married to her jeeju (brother in law). Now the show is focusing on Amaya as "Abla Nari" who's getting tortured by her mother in law. Once a unique show has now turned into a typical Saas-Bahu saga.
When the viewers got to know about their female lead (Amaya Mathur) getting married to the parallel lead (Ramashrey Gupta) they raised their dislike for the track by reacting in social networking sites. More than 55000 tweets were sent out in a span of 2 weeks with the #UniteManYaAndRaRa. Unfortunately they were cheated mercilessly by the TSM team who posted a fake spoiler saying "the marriage is a dream."
Viewers who trusted the makers got to know that they were fooled by the TSM team. The frustrated fans tried different measures to reach Director's Kut Productions (production house of TSM). Mass phone calls were made to the channel, Star plus who assured a change of track as early as possible. Letters & phone calls were made to DKP (enclosing the letter to DKP as attachment). The caller representatives of the PH spoke very rudely & fans were accused for TSM not acquiring proper TRPs.
We fans would raise the same question to Mr.Rajan Shahi, Mr.Rohit Goyal & team.
Are we the reason for the low TRPs of Tere sheher mein?
Why wasn't the show promoted when it was most needed?
Is the present forced twist giving the show more TRPs than earlier one?
Why was the essence of the show sabotaged?
If Parth Samthan was called back for Kaise hai Yaariyan and Vivian for Madhubala after several months why DKP is being deaf to thousands of mails & calls being made by fans?
Why the PH still continuing the track despite of strong dislike by fans across the globe?
This twist even lead to the quitting of the male lead (Mantu, a character brilliantly portrayed by Dhruv Bhandari) as he was offered a negative role in spite being the lead.
Through the present track, the soap is sending wrong vibes to the youngsters. They showed wedding as the only solution when a girl's picture is morphed. Many tracks were ended abruptly for bringing up this forced twist which killed the entire theme of the show.
So, we the loyal fans who have given valuable six months to this show demand a change in the track by bringing ManYa together as early as possible or request to end the show before making further damage to the story line and spread wrong message across the society.
