Was Sanskaar selfish.....

I love sanskaar characterization so far... He has his own say. But y'day when shasmitha slap ragini n wanted the truth out from her, sanskaar told swara its her choice to prove her mother wrong or accept defeat as ragini wont say the truth. My question here considering swara mental state at the moment, was it wise for sanskaar to give such a suggestion or was she trying to be selfish... that if truth is out... swara will leave him...

Because sharmishta said that they did fake marriage..

He was being more focused is what I would say. While swara was totally crumbling under the building pressure he was focusing on their ultimate goal n trying to guide her n them back to safety.

I love if sanskar been selfish about swara. I want a possessive sanskar. don't let that laksh come near swara. I want sanskar to say that swara is mine and only be mine. I will not give her to anybody. I don't let her go.. but sanskar is not that selfish yar..

This question had come before too when we saw an SBS segment on it.

The reason Sanskaar gave that suggestion was because if Swara had not lied at that moment, it would have been proven that Swara and Sanskaar had been lying about their 'fake' marriage (Sharmishta had already confessed to the fake marriage) before and this way Swara would have been proved to be a liar and hence no one have believed her ever. Secondly, it was important for Swara to stay in MM to bring Ragini's truth in front of everyone. Ragini in MM and Swara in Baadi - that would have solved nothing. More so, the hate that MM people have for Swara with respective to Swara Lakshya wedding would have gone up even more.

Sanskaar would never force Swara to stay in MM for himself. He has maintained that time and again. He will not force this relationship on her and if it means letting her go - he will let her go.

i think he is d only one in maheshwaries who is not selfish n that time it was necessary what he ask swara to do. n its aad ki no one thinks abt him.

Had he been selfish I think he might have faltered/ refused to lie to AP when she made him swear before God.

Exactly. Sanskar was thinking about the finish line. If he had not given that suggestion, then everything Swara did, every sacrifice would have been in vain. They would have lost after coming so far. Swara logon ki nazar mein aur bhi buri ban jaati. Ragini won't relent and that was the only way to keep Swara in the house and reveal Ragini's misdeeds. So no, Sanskar was not being selfish. I think one thing Sanskar can't do is be selfish with Swara. He would lay the world at her feet if he could. He would give her everything, even set her free, if she so desires (i hope she doesn't)
