Chapter 3- Brothers
It had been a week since Pratap returned from London. Every day he tried calling Shakti but in vain. He never answered. Jaiwanta Bai walked into his room and asked if spoke to Shakti
He remained quite and she understood that Shakti was not willing to talk to his Dada bhai as well.
Pratap decided to talk to his Dajiraj about shakti.
A sevak informed that Ranaji was in his study. It was finally today that he would speak to his dajiraj who had been busy with the hotel dealing and political responsibilities.
He knocked on the door.
Kunwar Pratap: Kshama kijiye Dajiraj is samay ap se baat karne aye hain.
Ranaji: nahi Pratap aap humare putra hai kisi bhi samay aa skate hain aap humare paas.kahiye kya hua?
Kunwar Pratap: hum woh... Hum woh aap se bhai Shakti ke bare main baat karne aye the. Aisa kya hua ki woh itne naraz hain?
Ranaji: kya humara adhikar nahi hai apne putra ki galti par usse daatne Ka. Unki laparwahi ke Karan soorajgarh mehel ki hotel ki deal cancel hogayi. Kitna nuksan hua hai humara. Ek aur aap hain aur Ek aur ve. Jab humne unhe apse kuch seekhne ko kahi toh humare mooh pe darvaza band karke Chale gaye.
Kunwar Pratap: Dajiraj unke aisa karne ke peeche koi wajah rahi hogi. Aap ko unhe is prakar nahi daatna chahiye tha. Aur hum dono ko compare bhi nahi karna chahiye tha. Hum dono alag hai dajiraj.
Ranaji : bas Kunwar Pratap ab hum is vishay koi baat nahi karna chahte. Shubhratri.
Kunwar Pratap returned to his room as he lied down on his bed he got worried about a childhood incident. He kept wondering if the jealousy and misunderstanding were back again.
He thought of the day when the were playing some game in the raj mehel during their vacation. Pratap won this angered Shakti so much that he went out the raj mehel gate. Kunwar Pratap followed.
Kunwar Pratap : rukiye bhai shakti aap jite hum hare. Ab toh andar chaliye.
Kunwar Shakti: bas kijiye Dada bhai nahi chahiye bheek ki jeet. Yeh pyaar Ka dikhawa dajiraj ke samne dikhayiye. Hum jante hai aap ye sab sirf Rana ban ne ke liye Kar rahe hai.
Kunwar Pratap: aisa nahi hai bhai Shakti.
Kunwar Shakti: Aisa hi hai hume choti kaki sa (Dheerbai) be sab bataya hai.
He decided to call Shakti and sort it out once and for all.
As he called Shakti answered and said Dada bhai aap please mujhe call Na kare and disconnected the call.
On the other hand Kunwar Shakti was recollecting the same incident.
How they came out of the raj mehel on the main road they were so busy arguing that they did not see the truck coming from the other side.
His Dada bhai leaped and saved him.
He was shocked and frozen.
Kunwar Pratap : aap theek toh hai??
Kunwar Shakti: han. Aap pagal ho gaye hai. Aap ko kuch ho jata toh. Aap Udaipur Ka bhavishya hai bhavi rana hai aap.
Kunwar Pratap: aap in sab cheezon se zyada important hai humare liye.
They hugged each other and that day Kunwar Shakti promised himself that he would become his Dada bhais shadow and protect him.
He was sure that choti kaki sa must be planning something to ruin Pratap life so he had to return. Hour started packing his bag.
Next day in the Dangal maidan Pratap was practicing sword fighting. He heard someone say. Inse kya lad rahe hai himmat hai toh humse do do haath karke bataiye.
He turned to see who it was. It was his beloved brother Shakti.
A third voice came in arey wah Bharatmilap
It was his best friend Pandit Chakrapani Mishra.
Kunwar Pratap said ab mila hai samay humse milne Ka.
Chakrapani said he was at his sasural. It suddenly hit Pratap that while he was away his best friend got married to a girl named Saubhagyawati from bijolia. She was the daughter of a Pandit.
Kunwar Shakti teased him calling him Joru Ka gulam.
The three of them talked throughout the day.
It was a day well spent.
