Part 20
It was the day when finally Sultan was coming back and they had planned to take him down. Dead or alive. As was the plan Madhu had provided RK with the weapons and the door for the Sultan's room was open. RK and Sikky were still waiting for Madhu's signal to enter. But they suddenly saw Sultan's trusted man Bhatia walking towards the door in fast stride. They hid again quickly. After a minute there was another man running towards the room which made RK suspicious.
He quickly walked to the room himself and Sikky followed behind. To their shock, Madhu stood in the middle of the room with hands tied behind her back. She wasnt struggling but her face showed regret and pain. RK felt a thunder bursting on him. He had all this while regarded her as his anchor and now she stood there in grave danger.
"What should be done with you Mallika? I thought you are my trusted employee.. I thought you are loyal but you turned out to be the snake that bites its master.." Sultan hissed at her running a knife on her cheek. "I thought after this mission I would marry you giving you that honor.. I was going to make you my crown but you turned out to be nothing more than garbage.." he spat the words while RK fkared in anger he was about to burst at him when he felt a hand holding him back. It was Sikky who held him back tightly.
"Now what do we do with Garbage Mallika? Or Madhubala... I have a lot of options open for you.. throw you out which you know I am not stupid enough to do.. Kill you.. which is a waste of a beauty like yourself or keep you as a trophy.. RAW's best agent is my prisoner.." he laughed hysterically after saying that.
"Do you have better idea?" Sultan whispered close to her face as he pushed in the blade of the knife closer to her chin. Fresh drops of blood shone on the blade as Madhu flinched in pain.
RK had almost rushed to kill him when she shook her head a little with tears in her eyes ready to pour out. He wouldn't have listened to her if he hadnt noticed the begging look on her face as if requesting him not to react. He just clenched his teeth and looked away in guilt trying to control himself. He knew that even though it wasn't difficult for him to kill Sultan right now but surely one wrong move would end up everything including months long hard work of Madhu and in this case even her life.
"You know what is the best part about people like you Madhubala.. even when you are useless for the ones you work, you are all the more valueable for the ones you were working against.. Now the Indian government wouldn't gain a thing from you but... I would gain a lot from them.." he said with a smirk.
"Lock her up Bhatia.!" He shouted backing off while 2 men came forward and held her taking her away.
"Nothing of this would affect our plans RK... Everything should go the way it was.. We have to attack next week and that's done." Sultan said angrily as he walked towards his bar.
RK looked at his retreating figure but all that was important for him was Madhu's safety. As soon as he came out of the room he searched frantically for the two men who took Madhu.. He was running along the corridoors when he felt Madhu's presence somewhere close. He stopped and concentrated for a few seconds and then ran down the stairs on one side. About after 3 flights of stairs he heard the men talking and slowed down.
"This one always fascinated me.." one of them said.
"Yeah she is one evil beauty.." the other replied.
RK's blood boiled as he peeked at them. They were still holding Madhu from both arms as her hands were tied behind her back with a cloth securing her mouth.
One of the man said "Do you think we should..."
"Have you gone crazy...?" The other almost screamed. "Didnt you hear what Sultan said.. He had planned on marrying her.. and once Sultan lays eyes on some woman, she is his... I am sure he would want her after our mission succeeds..."
"But she is a traitor.." the former guy said exasperated.
"That makes her all the more desirable.." he replied.
They had now reached the bottom of the stairs into some dark hall.
"Just lock her inside.." he said as the other one opened the lock.
They heard footsteps close to them and turned aroumd immediately.
" Ohh RK.." they relaxed seeing him.
"What are you doing down here man?" One asked.
"Came to take a look if everything is under control.." RK said shrugging, his eyes locked with Madhu's.
"I know you love her man.. but she is a traitor.. Nothing can be done.. besides Sultan has selected her for himself.." the former one said regretfully.
All this while Madhu pleaded to RK not take any wrong step. RK looked at her angrily ready to defy her but the look in her eyes made him hold back.
"How do you know he loves her?" The other one asked him.
"I have seen.." he shrugged.
RK looked at one of them as his gaze started to intensify while Madhu looked at him horrified. He walked closer to them.
"Hey what are you doing?" The other one said exasperated seeing him. Soon the guy fell on the ground and RK now focussed himself on the other one and even he fell down unconscious.
RK rushed to Madhu and freed her mouth. As soon as the cloth removed he slammed his lips on hers and devoured them. They kissed as if their life depended on it. When they seperated RK looked at the cut Madhu had on the underside of her jaw. He touched it slightly and Madhu flinched in pain. RK looked at her as pain descended his eyes.
"I am Sorry Madhu.. I couldn't do anything for you.." he said guilty.
"That was even more courageous than anything you could have done.." she said with a slight smile as tears shone on her eyes.
"But I cant leave you here at the mercy of these men.." RK said angrily now.
"Rishabh.. Its essential.. If anything try to finish Sultan.. We have no other choice.. If you don't do things cleverly he can use us against ourselves.. and you don't worry about my safety.. I have learned how to keep myself safe.. You just go and do something as soon as possible.. That's our best chance.." she kept her hand on his cheek. RK turned his head slightly and kissed her hand as a tear escaped his eyes.
"take care " he whispered slightly.

RK was now walking in a fast stead along the corridor. he had a slight frown and determination in his eyes. Sikky came rushing to him.
"Listen RK.. don't do anything in a hurry. Let's think and plan something. we can't risk it now " he tried to reason with him.
"I know your concerns Sikky and trust me I am worried for it too. but even then it doesn't mean Madhu is not my priority. I can't let any harm come to her and I would do whatever it takes for it."
"even I worry for Madhu but we can still plan out something.. "he said desperately.
" we planned this since a month. I did so both of you insisted but did anything go according to our plan? " RK asked with a raised eyebrow.
Sikky looked at him dumbstruck.
" see! " RK said as he continued walking. " now let me go about this my way. I can't bear the guilt of not doing anything to save her even when i can do so much "
Sikky thought for a second and then took a deep breath as he felt that RK was right.
The two of them reached Sultan's door and looked around. it seemed clear. Sikky had his hand pressed against the gun in his pocket while RK focused ahead. His eyes as if ready to burn.
They opened the door slightly and peeked in to find the room quiet and dim lit. They entered the room with quiet steps. Hardly had they walked for ten steps when a door behind them closed. turning around they saw the door now closed. they looked around confused as the eery quietness of the room persisted. RK's eyes started to glow as the confusion and worry increased. Sikky walked to the door trying to open it but it was now locked. He looked at RK worried. as the restlessness increased for RK his eyes started to glow brighter. he was more fearful for Madhu now. there was a beam of heat emitting from his eyes as he tried burning the door so he could go and check on Madhu. And the next second the lights came on. all his concentration was broken and both of them started looking all around only to find sultan sitting on a sofa which was encased in some thick glass.
"finally you showed yourself Rishabh Kundra! " he said in an accomplished tone.
Both of them stars at him shocked.
" yes.. Do you think you all will just come here and fool Sultan? " he said with a sarcastic smirk.
" you knew? " RK said shocked.
" from the beginning.. " he said confidently. " well actually that would be an exaggeration.. I didn't know it for a few weeks that Madhubala Malik stayed here but how long did you think I won't find out that she was leaking my details to Raw? " he said with a mocking laugh.
RK deepened his stare and beam emitted from them focused on the glass cabin in which sultan was seated.
" I hope you don't think I am that stupid to be sitting unarmed for you.. And don't forget Madhubala is in my custody.. "
RK closed his eyes on frustration as he took in a deep breath while Sikky looked at him shocked.
"But if I caught her then how would I have been able to get the privilege of seeing a wonder like yourself." he said with a smile. "well now that everything is out in the open I would like to offer you a proposition.."
"What do you want? " RK asked suspiciously.
" join me.. " Sultan said confidently." you won't get anything with them and besides how can you trust them yet again.. What have they given you except for betrayal..? You want Madhubala? I ensure you get safety and a secure future with her besides you can have a luxurious life wherever you want in the world but you will have to work for me.. Come on my side.. " Sultan said with a triumphant smile.
RK looked at him for a few seconds. Sikky looked at him dreadfully. " are you actually considering that? " he exclaimed.
RK turned to him and looked at him menacingly.. "just stop commanding me and governing all my life decisions!" he almost shouted as Sikky looked at him shocked.
"what will I have to do? "RK asked to sultan.
Sultan smirked at him. "you will go with my men and on your original passport.. Get them safe entry to the plane and to the country.. You will be responsible for any mishaps.. Ensure that they reach their destination.. Them you can return. My men will handle the rest. And yes tel them the real safe routes.. Not the ones manipulated.. Remember you will get madhubala only after my mission is successful.! "
" You will not harm Madhu" he said in a hard tone.
"you must have known by now Rk.. I am true to my word. " sultan said with a smile.
Rk nodded his head. " I will do it "
" are you crazy? " sikky screamed at him. " do you realise how many lives are at stake? And you will just give them up? "
" and do you realise that he has Madhu captured..! " Rk shouted.
" Madhu Madhu Madhu! " Sikky screamed. " do you see anyone else? You will fail everyone just for her? "
" it was not my responsibility.. You all just burdened it on me.. I never asked for any bravery titles or heroic treatment. I never said I will protect anyone.. It's only Madhu who's safety I promised and I will stay true to my word. "
" but you are a part of RAW " Sikky said not believing.
" I never asked for it.. " RK looked at him menacingly.
" so do you prefer staying in a cell or in your room Mr. Sikander?" Sultan asked with a mocking laugh.
Sikky looked at RK angrily. "Madhu Mam won't forgive you!" he said and then walked off. This time the door opened.
