DocI love you for the post... The show has currently made fun of everything. It started out as a mature story for urban crowd and now is trying to beat every other show in the Indian tellydom with the level of absurdity in content .. Be it from marital trust to infertility to surrogacy...and saddest thing is two women run the production house .. And yet we see such violation of women's basic rights to choose parenthood or not. And You know how pissed I'm about this first hand... so right now I can't even think of something funny to respond to your funny post.
CPR on YHM served one purpose... It sucked out Raman's brain cells. 😡
Don't compare that with our basic clinical CPR .. Tu bhi na.. Logic pe mat jao hamare Cvs ki bhavna Ko samjho 😉😆
Gan,
First thing first.. you liked my comment after ages... I fangirled, for real. Sorry. Creepy but don't go and unlike now. 😆
This is what I was saying; quoting a comment of mine from another post yesterday; My show was with flawed characters who proved that they could be loved. My show was with Raman, Ishita and Ruhi as a family; about a man who couldn't love, a woman who craved to loved and a child who needed love. That was what I signed up for.
I never signed up for debauchery or such horrid levels of misogyny. I know, she doesn't even watch the show you may say.. then why does she care? Because this has been our baby. Can someone count the hours we spent over this show? Watching it, pondering over it, bonding over it and falling irrevocably in love with it. Then why do they have to butcher it.
And while everyone is crying over the insult the current track and the whole show right now is to woman, can someone please call out the horrid portrayal of Indian men we have right here.
We are all raised by men, Indian in ethnicity, we have our fathers, uncles, brothers and so many men in our lives who empower us every single day; can someone call out the harsh portrayal the show has of men.
As Ani rightly said, it wouldn't make sense for Raman to betray Ishita to such an extent when he himself knows what betrayal is and the level of hurt and destruction it can cause. Even if he was trying to expose the surrogacy scam; Ishita is the mother.. if he had a master plan excluding her from it makes no sense. Would Ishita say no if she had to help Raman and Shagun (?) help hundreds of women who were in the same position as her but not as lucky enough to have a Ruhi in their lives. No, right?
I can't bring myself to watch the show even to make sense of Raman. KP is an amazing actor, if there were shades he could portray them. This is harsh, cruel and unjust.
I can not even think of this without annoying myself.
And as you said; women run this show. Women. Women who initially showed (to me) Subbu's wife to be another incubator or baby machine and now are proving the same for Shagun and Ishita - one gives birth and the other nurtures. Is this what the show truly meant by it's initial tagline that you do not need to give birth to be a mother.
Did it? I wonder..
Anyway, I'll be lodging one of those complaints today as and when I get the time to do so. Realized earlier today that we could do so.
All the best Gan. Nice seeing you here.
