If you have seen the original format aka Everyone Loves Raymond then this show is lost in translation . The writers would have been better catering and adapting the story towards a home audience
The cast is good but feel script lets the show fall flat

The biggest question is IF. A huge majority of indian Tv audience dont even know about ELR. I have been watching TV since 1996 and seen many indian shows but never heard about ELR. I had to search for it when i saw the promos. And i am an internet viwer which is a very less population of India. majority only watch on TV dont even think about anything. Then just want a show to watch.
I somewhat agree to first line because original is always better, you cant replicate it.

But dont agree to the 2nd line. At first i didnt completely understand how is this show not catering to a home audience? 😕
This show is perfect for the family audience and my family has enjoyed all 4 episodes, whereas we rarely watch any other show together. Mom who always watch SNS, SSK, DABH type shows enjoyed this a lot too.

I had seen 'Everybody Loves Raymond' when I was very young. And now I've been watching all episodes of Sumit Sambhal Lega & one thing that is very nice is that despite it being adapted show all the stories felt very Indian to me (Only in 'I Love You' episode some places it felt a little American). So, I completely disagree with Marhabaa - I think writer have done good job.

I agree this version is not as funny as the original - but I think it is very nice by itself - in the way it puts light on little things that happen in family & every household. Maybe, humor quotient will also increase in future. 😃

Yea i do think it's difficult to develop it to match up to the original, while still appealing to the average Indian audience.. I do think they've done a fairly good job though.
Most importantly, the show is such a breath of fresh air amongst the overdone soap opera programming! Seriously hope it does well

Since I have watched the original, then this one just doesn't work for me.. The biggest miscast is Sumit and that is because he looks too smart and calm to play the awkward character that he is supposed to be..

However, considering the long-running serials that are on right now, this is a much better watch..
