Said would probably admit it himself, that he's been very lucky to get to where he is today.
When he started in 1992 he was terrible. That went on for the entire decade. In 1999 he became cool with a new haircut, Biwi No.1, HSSH were big hits. Then came Dil Chahta Hai and he found his place in Bollywood. He peaked around 2004-6.
You can tell from his film choices of the last few years he desperately tried to stay popular and relevant but that has not worked.
Not only was he the weak link in Cocktail. But Agent Vinod which he banked on heavily was a disaster, although I thought it was a good movie and liked him in it.
Bullet Raja just was not him. He was trying his luck with the dumb masala movies his contemporaries were having success with. But that failed.
He's definitely going to have to think very carefully about his next moves.
