"Raman...you're here...at this time...! What happened?"

Shagun inquired crinkling her eyebrows wondering what made him come there in that wee small hour. He looked on at Ruhi's sleeping form and strode towards her totally ignoring Shagun.

Caressing Ruhi's forehead he whispered, "I'll do anything for you baby...Papa won't ever hurt you...Ruhi promise..."

"Raman...you can't stay here. It's the hospital rule...Leave...please..." Saying that in a low voice Shagun caressed his hair.

Turning to her he hugged her tight. She was surprised is an understatement. Unable to understand anything or respond, she blew a kiss on his hair. "Are you alright Raman...?" She asked as he kept on tightening his grip around her waist hiding his face in her stomach. "I...am...just trying...to be alright..." She heard him saying.

Breaking the hug he looked up at her. Her eyes were teary. She somewhat understood his dilemma. But, feigned ignorance to the reality. Yet, it is high time they are in this shell. They do really wanted to break it apart and come out. They do really wanted to fix everything. Or...is it just him?

"Ishita...she never betrayed you Shagun..." He started. "In fact...I was the one who cheated on her...I was the one who did hurt her a lot...playfully though...I did wrong...I shouldn't have done that..."

"Please Raman...I.." She tried to stop him.

"No Shagun...you'll hear me today. You've no other choice." Saying which he pulled her out of the room.

Sitting across a table. Looking at each other, in the canteen, they let go of minutes in silence. Both of them very well knew that everything is going to end soon. But the end is a different entity that they doesn't know. Both prayed, for the best!

"We met in Mumbai before eight years..." He said sipping the coffee while Shagun looked on in discomfort.

"Eight years!!!!" She asked in shock earning a smile from him.

"What you thought...I met her that day...on our engagement? That's your first...greatest mistake Shagun..." He mocked at her.

"I...don't understand..."

"Or maybe you don't want to..."

"Raman please..."

"Yep...I know...I know you so well Shagun...I can read through your face...what's in your mind is clear there. You don't want to listen to me or listen to the truth because you know that you're wrong. You're all along damn selfish!" He hit his fist on the table making the security jerk open his eyes to check.

"What happened...? Don't make noise sir..." It was a firm instruction from the guard.

"Sorry..." Shagun stood up apologising and looked at Raman as if asking him to stop his ramblings.

"No escape. I've decided...It'll end here. You just shut your mouth up and sit down." He ordered making her sat there scared by his dangerous voice.

"Raman...this is not the place...I'm telling you...just stop it here." She asked nervously.

"Oh really...! Hahaha...Who's talking...! Shagun Raman Kumar Bhalla...!!! Talking about what...!!! Did you ever think of the place to talk about your shitty insecurities and frustrating conceptions? Did you ever tried to be appropriate in anything other than taking training in how to be a good wife? Did you ever think twice before doing something? Did you ever you damn it?" His voice raised.

"Yes I never. I never...never...NEVER! What you got to do with it, huh? What the hell you think Raman...What the hell you want to prove me by coming here in this our and talking to me like I've done a great sin? What the hell are you up to?"

"Don't act innocent you damn it! You did a sin...you made me do a great sin. And I want to undo it. I want to give Ruhi to Ishita. I've decided."

"You can't do this...Raman...she is our daughter...how can you think of giving her to Ishita...no...Raman...tell me that you're kidding..." She got panicked thinking that she will lose Ruhi to Ishita.

Shagun...! She was always this unpredictable. She thinks things which someone can't even dream of. She used to own (snatch) everything that she liked. No matter what it is. She hated...freaked out if something (she loves) would be owned by someone else. Still...she could not possess what she loves the most in the entire world.

"You're not Ruhi's mother...! You can never be a good mother...And I just want you to stop pretending in front of my daugher...for me...I promise...I...will genuinely try to move on with you if you do that...give Ruhi back to Ishita...give her back her family...I promise...I'll try to be just yours...I promise..." He said holding her hands.

"You...you'll really...?" She asked surprised.

"Yes...I mean it...and I want you to accept Ishita. She is not wrong...I want you to see the truth..."

"But you told me everything Raman..." She was confused.

"Yet...you never listened to everything Shagun..."

"Then...tell me..." She has shown guts knowing well that she would not have to undo anything out of guilt because of Raman's promise.

"It wasn't a love at first sight. In fact...I didn't see her the day I met her the first time..." He chuckled.

That was an accident! Their meeting and it's reason. Raman's new company building construction was going on. He was in the sight with his brother. It was the first biz that he dared to start alone, before eight years. As a brand! Fortunately or unfortunately, he fell down from the stairs thus loosing consciousness. Ashok rushed to the hospital with an injured Raman.

There was her...Ishita Iyer. A young...pretty...gorgeous...breathtaking...yet, irritating doctor. Once Raman regained his consciousness he started throwing tantrums. She being an even more tantrum queen started complaining Ashok asking him to take him to somewhere else. At last, Ashok literally begged her to try to tolerate him making her melt a little.

"He's like a kid..." Ashok pouted earning a glare from Ishita saying, "A brat!!!"

"So...Mr Raman Bhalla...You'd be happy..." She smiled cheekily showing of her teeth.

"For what?" He made a face patting his forehead from where the nurse was wiping off the blood stain.

"For...you won't need to bear me...my voice and presence as the anaesthesiologist is here. Just a small prick...you'll be ready for the operation." She said hoping that he will cooperate.

"What the f**k!!! I won't agree. What operation...? Why anaesthesia? I'm alright...I've just a fracture in my right leg and left hand...I'm fine..." He started shouting hysterically.

"Mind your language. And FYI, we need to stitch your head. And there is a very big wound in your left leg which will need at least ten stiches. Moreover, the spot is stained by glan. We need to clear it...So you stay." She made him lay down forcefully.

What followed was a roller coaster ride. He being the childish and adamant brat successfully irriated the ever angry doctor Ishita Iyer. She muttered an 'I would have killed this man if I wouldn't have got jailed!' while stitching him. All these while, he didn't see her face. Everything was in a blur because of the pain. Ashok genuinely thanked Ishita after taking Raman with him the same day he was out in the room.

After a month. He went for a shopping along with Ashok. There in the mall he happened to meet her again. Ashok was in the ladies section to buy a dress for Simmi who was six months pregnant then. Raman slipped off not interested in spending time in that section. While walking out his hand lightly touched a soft hand making him stop in sudden.

There stood a beautiful girl in lime green churidar with her friends. He looked at her shamelessly blocking her way while her friends tried to interfere in pooh-poohing him. She made a face while trying to escape his scrutinizing eyes.

"Dr Ishita Iyer...right?" He asked forwarding his hand for a shake.

"Hm...so...you remember me?" She looked at him touching his hand.

"Oh...it's just that...actually...I didn't see you that day...but..." He smiled chewing the bubble gum in his mouth lazily making her make a yuck face.

"Then...how do you know that I'm Dr Ishita...?" She stared at him, hands on hips whilst her friends stood not understanding anything.

"Oh...how can I forget your touch...hmm?" He smiled naughtily winking at her and walked away.

"You touched him Ishita...?" One of her friends asked astounded making her embarrassed.

"He was my patient you fools...!" She screamed in anger.

"Raman..." Shagun clicked his fingures in front of him. "What happened? Why you stopped? How you both met? Why did you stop there...?" She inquired not understanding his sudden change of behaviour.

"Hmm...I...I'm sleepy..." He got up to leave only to get pulled back by Shagun in an embrace. She was happy until he pushed her off. Again!

"I'm sorry Shagun...I was so tensed...So...I thought I can do anything to get some peace. But...it's not that easy...maybe...it's impossible..."

"But you promised me..."

"Sometimes...promises are meant to be broken Shagun..."

I think after remencing his flash back with ishita he is unable to leave her and can't stand to the promise he made to shagun... Their hosptl meeting is jst so cute... Raman throwing tantrums and ashok requesting ishita to bear him is really cute... I really want raman to break d promise he made to shagun... Y did he stop??? So ishita was nt at fault?? Itz raman who did a mistake?? Knowing shagun she will not leave him now until he tells him everything and make him stand to his promise... I am hating shagun more after reading dis update...
