tayi mu(misunderstood) srikant and thinks that the latter purposely got police to arrest bhau but the truth is srikant was threatened by the police with his daughter as leverage and he gave in.

promise tai that she is like his mother

his life is all for her

he will do as she says

then he says vaada raha

why this difference ?

I think circumtances will change in coming episodes. It willnot be convincing if karthik promises to protect survi now as she is a stranger compared to tai.

karthik's promise is shown as sincere in the promo. the entire show revolves around that promise. It can't be false
