"My father acquired the remake rights of the Akshay Kumar starrer last year. We plan to start shooting soon," Prashanth said.
Actor Prashanth, who currently awaits the release of Tamil actioner "Saahasam", has confirmed that he will reprise Akshay Kumar's role in the yet-untitled Tamil remake of "Special 26".
"My father acquired the remake rights of the film last year. We plan to start shooting soon. The film will be directed by Madhesh, and we're currently in the process of finalizing the rest of the cast," Prashanth told IANS.
The southern remake rights of "Special 26" were bagged by actor-filmmaker Thiyagarajan.

Like 90% of people in South India can speak and understand Hindi?

WHy would they pay money to see something in the cinema, when they can watch it for free on Dailymotion

90% very high.
I think 90% people of Tamilnadu don't understand Hindi.In Andhra may be 70% don't.
In Karnataka and Kerala may be more people understand Hindi comparetivly.
