Yeah yeah ... according to some folks ..Bollywood is the worst thing that happened..all crappy movies! No one can dance like Vijay ..he's the best male indian dancer (who Hrithik, Tiger, Shahid? 😆) Typical south indian people...😆
When we speak of The Best...Are we speaking in terms of best works of the industry or the whole industry in general (both trash and good films). I know malayalam movies are really good that's because I choose selected movies to watch ,which have gained acclaim from all over. Even Tamil movies churn a lot of random and trashy movies with exceptionally good movies coming up once in a while. In malayalam, recently some 5 films released on Onam, and none of them made a mark as such, all average movies I suppose. It's a mixed bag, but then again all industries are a mixed bag.
So are we comparing the best works of all these industries?
Having said that, I agree that unconventional subjects in regional movies do much better business. Especially Tamil cinema, I love Tamil audience for that...no matter how dark or depressing a movie might be..if it is well made, it is embraced by everybody and anyway, I'll always be biased about them. 😆
Please don't think I'm dissing any industry though. I'm just a but curious. 😛
The whole Deepika Padukone controversy shows just how deeply patriarchal Bollywood still is. A top actress asks for humane 8-hour...
