All in all a good episode. A vast improvement over the copycat material in the first four episodes.

I think we got the entire team working in cohesion and everyone having their part to play, though I still have some issues with the quality of their respective contributions.
So Rajbeer and Gauri...something is cooking there, huh? 😊 I knew it. Just like Mentalist's Rigsby and Van Pelt. Cute pair nonetheless. I liked how Raghav got the blustering Rajbeer to take the first move and give a lift to Gauri.
IMO it makes the protagonist more interesting when he engages in the interpersonal lives of his colleagues...makes him more than a case-solving machine. It's sweet of Raghav to interfere and encourage Rajbeer like that. Good job there, buddy.😃
Coming to the case, it seems to have been inspired by the real-life incident of Sunanda Pushkar's murder- the wife of former Minister/diplomat Shashi Tharoor who was found dead in a hotel owing to a mysterious case of poisoning.
I liked the fictional reconstruction of the case. At least the writers dared to do something new than rehashing plots from novels/ movies. Good attempt.👏
The details were well-presented- please watch the episode, coz I don't want to spoil them for you.😳
Raghav's past is quite mysterious- something spurs him to remember his childhood tragedy and his macabre past. He is still very afraid of this threat/menace. Lovely consistency, writers! I am intrigued.👏
My only two misgivings about the entire episode were-
1. The team should not be portrayed as mere hangers-on. They should contribute positively to each case and bring their own insights as investigators to solve it.
This was the beef I had with Mentalist too...Patrick Jane used to know everything, whereas everyone except Cho(Bikram here) and Van Pelt (Gauri) wouldn't contribute much. Even the team leader Teresa (Trisha) was often a silent onlooker.
I hope this can be avoided and that everyone in the team is shown as being very capable. Esp. please show Trisha's strengths- I like women protagonists who are strong and intelligent rather than being mere showpieces.🥱
2. The murderer of this case was way too obvious- again, not spoiling it for you guys.😳😃
The other suspects should've been shown as being interrogated more. Still, quite engaging.

SHIPPER ALERT- So this part is exclusively for those who ship Raghav and Trisha, including me⭐️
In my defence I watch police procedurals/ thrillers particularly for the plots/cases and how they're solved. Still, it makes it interesting to have a dynamic, an emotional connect between the protagonists. Because it makes way for a future conflict to be developed in terms of a clash b/w professional ethics and personal bindings, which I always love.
Not to mention, it makes the characters more relatable- we see them as individuals as well as being good police officers😃
It's obvious that there is a strong connect b/w Raghav and Trisha.
There's the good ol' clash of personalities- Trisha's by the book approach to investigations v/s Raghav's quirky and more intuitive methods.
And there seems to be a strong emotional connect b/w them- he seems to rely upon her, she is awed by his insights. And he lets her alone to be witness to his vulnerability. Cute😳
So there was a bit of flirting- okay, just one line😆, from Raghav to Trisha in today's episode- "Aaj raat kya kar rahi ho"😳😉 He says this because he sees her flustered and anxious because of lack of leads and tries to lessen her anxiety by flirting with her.
And she is receptive to it, and becomes awkward and blushes😆 He is like that lil' boy in school who pulls a girl's pigtails to tell her that he likes her😳

All in all, satisfying episode. I expect more though.
7/10 from me for daring to do something different. More headway needed on the intrigue and whodunit factor though.
