I loved reading your post as it seemed to mirror what I've been thinking.

I think Sanskaar's character has the tendency to be a bit extreme where emotions are concerned, be they positive or negative.

Sanskaar's guilt, as we saw a couple of episodes ago, is killing him inside. The more Swara is abused the worse he feels and that is something he seemed to be unable to handle anymore. Compounded by his feelings for Swara and the pain of seeing her in pain - he got drunk and was in the "Duniya ko aag laga doonga" mood. I also second your opinion that this is the only way he could have let out his feelings because his guilt has made him lose his self-esteem, giving him the illusion that he is unworthy of this amazing but suffering woman. He probably also hates himself a little for feeling this way about her, albeit on a subconscious level. Reminds me of the 'Tum Bin' movie.

Some people here have been saying that he may sacrifice his love in order to reunite Swara and Laksh. I wonder how the story will turn out if he decides to fight for her instead and be all passionate about it when he realizes he's about to lose her. Would he try to win her over or would he try to create situations (with good intentions) that prevent her from leaving?

Or if he chooses to say or do nothing about it? I won't be surprised if she tries to bring up his drunken confession at a much later stage, rather than now, when she wants to assess him and his feelings. I won't be surprised if he denies having any feelings for her and even says he only loves his dead fiancee. What if Swara finds herself falling in love with him but is again depressed thinking that he will only be Kavita's forever and she has no chance? She may also say nothing about her feelings but will be heartbroken for real this time and that would be interesting to watch. I want to see Sanskar fighting with himself to stay away from her but losing the battle eventually.

I too felt sanskar filmi, after watching his drunken segments.
But now, i got it, after facing such a series of negative incidents from both lakshya and ragini, that too in a single day, nobody can act normal.
In a single day he faced many challenges.
1.Lakshya came to know about thir fake marriage,
2. Then he was made to marry her in real, even in her hesitation.
3. He came to know about his own mom involved in the conspiracy against him.
4. Then the ragini drama in baadi, shomi to get arrested
5. Again nagini questions her morality, and calls her naajaiz..
6. He might also had to answer to swara for not respecting sindoor.
7. Then swara in a broken state, being blamed by his own family.
8. To add fuel to this, again lakshya accepts Ragini and decides to move on, as a challenge to swasan. Surely it will affect their plan. Ragini will get her wish, and her father will continue to believe her. No end to their problem..

After facing all these, which normal man could behave as usual.
A single thing in the above list enogh to spoil our mind.
I find his anger towards ragini, though it is justifiable, but i dont support him to hold her neck, as it will be a negative mark on his image.
All other things, i cant find anything unusual..

Hey...nice comment. And yeah, our thoughts mirror each other quite a bit. 😊

I would like to see Sanskaar fighting for and trying to win over Swara...I definitely don't want to see him go down the "sacrificing" route to reunite Swara & Lakshya. At least, not too far down that road. 😊

But rather than this overt "sacrificing" or "fighting for his love" mood, I feel he would rather choose to stay quiet and not reveal his feelings. He just would not feel that he is worthy of Swara's love, possibly he may even feel that there is no way she could possibly love him, given what he did in the past.

Also, I do feel for a person like Sanskaar, who feels things so strongly, it would be very hurtful to think that Swara might be choosing to stay with him just out of a sense of obligation (coz he stood by her when she needed support); or just a sense of tradition (coz he filled her maang and hence she feels tied to him). Neither of these reasons would be good enough for him--he will deeply want and desire for her to love him, that way he adores her. BUT, he simply may not feel that she can ever do so.

The last scenario you said: where Swara tries to probe his feelings but Sanskaar denies feeling anything for her, thereby breaking her heart (while nursing a broken heart of his own), is pure kryptonite yaar. 😭 Its like an ultimate nightmare scenario, I hope that never happens. I have a low pain threshold as far as seeing heartbreak in my favorite on screen pair is concerned--specially where I have got so emotionally invested.

I really don't think at all that Sanskaar can be shown negative now. Would kill the show ratings, there is a massive groundswell of support for the Sanskaar--Swara pairing.

Sanskaar's decision to fill her maang was made with such earnest resolve to protect her, to shield her from further scorn. There was nothing negative there at all. In fact, it was Lakshya more than anybody else who made it happen 😊 Sanskaar kept trying to give rational explanations but he kept insisting. Lo, Lakshya Ji, ab thasalli ho gayi? 😊
