The update was really sweet. MG's sangeet was beautifully narrated. Maan giving her 6 lehengas just said he loves to pamper his lady love. He is crazy totally. Glad to see MG finally getting their share of happiness as they really deserved it.

Part 61

Maan helped Geet settle down there with her lahenga and all the heavy jwelleries. Geet was quite tired and the heavy jwelleries were not helping her. She said in a tired voice,"Maan do you mind waiting for few minutes. "

Maan:" What happened Jaan?"

Geet:" I want to get rid of these heavy jwelleries. Also my head is hurting. I want to open my bun."

Maan:" Are you okay? Are you having a headache?"

Geet:" A bit. Last few days were hectic and I think all I need is a good night's sleep."

Maan understood. He helped geet getting rid of her jwelleries. Any trace of naughtiness was gone from his head as he watched a tired Geet.

Maan:" Geet, do one thing. You get inside the washroom and take a shower.It would be relaxing. I will get you something to wear."

Geet went inside while Maan left the room. He met Annie and said the situation who lends one of her nightsuit.

Maan came and passed Geet the nightsuit. Geet was a lot fresher after the shower. She had scrubbed her face off make up. They both had there dinner with Maan fussing over Geet. Geet couldn't help but think how lucky she is to have this man in her life.

Geet spent the night at khurana villa. She slept off with Naina after her dinner. She slept like a baby and woke up almost at noon. She cursed herself for her laziness. Rano had sent fresh dress for her along with her toiletries and she thanked her for that.

It is supposed to be her Mehendi function tonight. And tomorrow is finally her marriage. The thought made her blush really bad. Suddenly she felt a set of arms hugging her from back as he whispered," So why is my Mishty all red when I haven't even done anything?"

Geet couldn't answer that question so she bent down her head trying to hide her blush.

"Oh Geet!! I love it when you blush like that... Just wait for tomorrow night...I will eat you alive."

"MAAN!!"

Geet shouted but she blushed even more with his blatant confession. Maan shook his head and pulled her up. "I couldn't do this as you were really tired last night."

"What?"

"This.."

And he placed his lips on hers for a rough kiss. He swiped his tongue over her lips sending a jolt of pleasure through her. She opened her lips inviting him in and he plunged his tongue inside her mouth tasting her completely. It was like a man perched for years was finally allowed drops of water. They broke off the kiss when they were breatheless.

"It was one heck of a kiss mishty but we have to go. Every body is waiting for us for a brunch."

Almost everyone was late to get up and since they would again have to get ready for mehendi function so it was decided to have brunch together. Daadima announced after brunch," Geet beta. You rest here with Naina. Anyway the mehendi function will be taking place here only so there is no point going back to the penthouse. Anyway after today you and Maan can't meet before marriage so better utilize the time what say!"

Daadima finished with a wink earning a blush from Geet and groan from Maan.

Annie:" Come on bhai, even we know that coming from guest room to dining hall doesn't take that much time."

Maan glared at Annie while Naina responded cheekily,"Oh Maan veerji stop glaring at her. By the way, don't think you have a chance because afternoon Geet needs to sleep. As it is the function would go on for long hours and tomorrow she won't get time for rest, you know what I mean!"

Naina finished with a wink and even Dev and Arjun joined this time for the laughing session. Daadima smiled and left leaving the youngsters. Maan was exaspearated with his younger siblings. It's like his glares have stopped being intimidating.

Maan:" Fine... I better go and check few things in office. That way I will be away from you hooligans."

Everybody groaned, thinking about this workaholic man. Who thinks of office a day before marriage? However Geet was glaring at Maan.

Maan didn't notice Geet's expressions as Geet stood up and stopped Maan glaring at him. If looks could kill he would have been dead.

Geet:"Mr. Khurana did you just say you are going to office?"

Maan:" Yeah. There is some work."

Geet:" You are going to office A DAY BEFORE OUR MARRIAGE?"

Maan:"ah mis..mishty"

Geet:" Don't mishty me you...you...you dusht danav"

Maan:" Try to understand na...its really important..."

Geet:" If you dare go anywhere near your office building Mr. Khurana I swear you would see the worst of me."

Maan was intimidated by the glare and angry tone of his Mishty. Who knew his sweet and soft Miss Song could be such a sherni?

Maan:" As you wish, now smile Mishty."

Geet:"Humph!!"

Geet left the dining hall making an angry face while Maan followed her trying to appease her. Arjun laughed. All four were really enjoying the episode. Arjun commented," Who would have thought that someone so small and cute can make Maan bend down to her wishes."

Annie:" Love does that to people Arjun. I am happy Maan bhai is finally happy."

Soon it was time for the Mehendi function to start. Geet was wearing a mehndi green and red lahenga which seemed apt for the occasion. She braided her hair into a simple French knot so the hairs don't coe in the way of her bridal mehendi. Her choli was sleeveless for the same reason.

As she settled on the hall Meera, Pari, Rano and all others came as well. This was a full family event and closed friends were invited. Daadima had made arrangememnts for the mehendi people to come. Two of them would concentrate solely on Geet while there are three others so the other girls could apply.

Annie applied the first dot of Shagun beginning the start of function. Geet chose her design and they started applying her mehendi. The guys were not allowed inside so they were having barbeque outside in the lawn. However Maan is Maan!! He sneaked in to watch his lady love. Geet was looking ravishingly beautiful.

Meanwhile the girl applying Geet's mehendi wanted to know what name is supposed to go. That earned a blush from Geet but she decided and whispered something into the girl's ears.

Meanwhile the girls started to spice up the environment by singing something. Rano started singing first while others joined her.

Maan had watched Geet blush and wondered what she was talking about that made her blush so much. The song was so apt that even Maan could feel the emotions seeping into the song.

The function went till late. Geet had decided to adorn her hands and legs with Mehendi so it took much time to complete her. Even the guys came back by that time as their party was over.Since all the girls had mehendi in their hands so it was decided that their respective partners would make them eat dinner. It gave chance for the bride and groom to steal few moments since both knew that next they would meet directly for the wedding.

It was late when Geet was sitting on the car with help of Rano and Tej as they were the last ones to be going to pent house. Geet watched as Maan bid her goodbye. To the world it seemed like his non-chalance but Geet knew better. His eyes sparkled with the new hope and happiness oozed out from him. It was in that moment Geet knew that Maan had truly moved on. He no longer held himself responsible for his brother's death. Geet looked at him as her eyes spoke of her undying love.

Rano helped Geet change. It was an emotional night for mother and daughter. Maan had arranged for every guest to stay in the hotel rooms of same branch of Khurana hotel so that it would be easy on everyone.

Geet was tired but strangely not sleepy. Rano caressed her head and asked one question she needed to know the answer of.

Rano:" Geetu, are you happy?"

Geet:" What kind of question is that mumma? Of course I am happy."

Rano:" You and Maan have a lot of age difference. You both belong to totally different status level. So even if I know that Maan is an amazing person, a mother's heart won't be at peace till she has found the answers."

Geet understood her mother's words. She hugged her mom making sure her mehendi is not spoiled. Then she replied with an emotional voice," Maan is the man for me Maa. I know you are worried but don't be. He had always protected me and had saved me from myself. He helped me love again but most importantly he helped me live again. He is the only other person in this entire world who can actually relate to my feelings for Armaan. He accepted me as I am and so did I. May be I would sound silly and blind in love but I think he is my other half for the true sense of the word."

Rano could see how happy Maan made Geet and it helped her find her peace. She kissed Geet on her forehead as both mother and daughter closed their eyes to sleep. Rano smiled. After everything that has happened her daughter deserved happiness and she had no doubt Maan would give her that.
