Deepika, Anurag, Mary attend 'Inspiring Women' event

Mumbai: Deepika Padukone along with father Prakash, Anurag Kashyap and Mary Kom attended 'Inspiring Women' event. They spoke about women empowerment and stressed on the necessity to educate a girl child. Deepika mentioned that she is happy to be considered as a role model for many and would love to be an inspiration for others.
Earlier this year, the industry was in a shock when Deepika confessed that she battled depression and anxiety issues. While 2014 was one of the best phases of Deepika's career with all of her films bringing in great box office collections, she confessed that privately, she felt "empty" and even collapsed due to exhaustion. To ensure others don't face the same problem, she started an initiative to promote mental health care, an NGO called Live, Laugh, Love. The actress is happy to share her success with others and is working on many social causes.
