Hi guys...

I don't post a lot in this section...but visit it often...and read most of the topics...and they r all pretty interesting...

anyway I was discussing something with my friend yesterday so thought of seeing ur views on it...

See... aaj kal girls r studying hard... becoming educated...smart...helpful people for soceity... yet they still have their "womenly" work to do... or are expected to do their womenly work...no matter how educated they are...

so my question... do u think girls r getting more freedom than before...or just more responsibilities?

see...before when a girl got married...her job was to do the house work...raise children and all... but now...she works so hard and studies... and works... yet she is expected to still do all those housr works...without the husband helping at all...

and usually when i ask my male friends about this...they say...no matter how much a girl studies... she still should be doing her womenly work at home after marriage...

I mean is this fair??? it is like the women have two shifts now... one to work outside and another... to do the house work...because it is her job....

so I think instead of having freedom... we have these extra responisbilities... especially for Asian girls... because in today's society...you need two incomes...to have a good enough life... so no matter what...girls have to do both house work and work outside... while men...only do the outside work... and be the ones to give orders...πŸ˜†

and even if we don't need that other income... then what is the point of a girl studying...and getting degrees..?

so what r ur views guys??πŸ˜ƒ

oo la la Sapna ji! kya topic hai yaar! πŸ‘ πŸ‘ πŸ‘

Well i think we should not generalize.. coz not all men think like that.. πŸ˜‰

But yeah there are still so many men who believe and expect that girls should do all ghar ka kaam etc

i feel both men as women should enjoy Freedom and as far as responsibilities concerned.. i think both should be able to take the responsibilities..for inside and as well as outside work πŸ˜‰

gosh i don't even know if i make any sense here...πŸ˜† πŸ˜† well this is also my first post here..so

Hi Sapna! Please post often πŸ˜ƒ
Great topic! πŸ‘

It is absolutely hard and sort of unfair when men don't give a helping hand at home and woman deal with all the house chores and their professional responsibilities (may it be just a job, or may it be a career).
However, times will change when a balance will be achieved. it is already evident in several western cultures. we have begun to imbibe it in our society as well (barring Mr QT -like men😭 😭, lol).

Moreover, imho, it is a woman's responsibility and RIGHT to enjoy her full potential and use her abilities outside of her home as well. So what if there is more hardship involved? The gain is sweet!!

I think women these days do have "two shifts" as in doing work outside and inside of her house. I, myself, feel the same way since I'm studying very hard trying to get my degress etc, but in the end, all I'll end up doing is house work πŸ˜† sometimes, I wonder, what's all the studying for then? But then, honestly speaking, I'd rather just be a working woman at home and going outside for a job 😳

I know I didn't make any sense at all since I was making two controversial points there, but I was just looking at the situation from the point of view of women in general and my personal view as well 😳

Welcome to DM! and nice to see Sapna/Gracella, here 😊 .

Re: Topic

Have presented my views on similar topics, in various posts will choose to come to final verdict, JIMO.

Time has changed, what you mentioned here is becoming thing of past.

Basically what it comes down is sharing responsibilities between spouses to strive for happy prosperous lives together, along the way fulfilling their dreams in the most feasible manner, all which in this changed time, where you rightly pointed out double income is advantageous. With sharing responsibilities I mean for the whole family taking care of household chores, financial needs, securing future. As far I know or heard Women/Men are aware of this changing time and depending challenges in life adapting or accommodating new responsibilities. Now if individuals (factoring out the GENDER part) here are not able to understand or justify this model then it's their personal problem, I won't generalize here.

If women of this century are getting exploited with same age old cloud (house chores expectations..etc), then high time they raise your voice and do something about it.... same holds true for guys ...lolss, atleast in coming days (hopefully not) πŸ˜†πŸ˜†.

Nothing wrong....

More work: keeps the brain and body agile
Culinary skills: makes them more marketable
Cleansing Act: Makes them more fearsome

All these skillsets - priceless... for everything else there is men's mastercard!! πŸ˜ƒ

πŸ˜†well talk about sharing of responsibilities
by inventing mixie, washer/dryer readymade ata, washing powders, electricity one side has taken care of their responsibiity

now all that remains is puting clothes in a washer, taking it out of a washer and put it in a dryer and perhaps folding it πŸ˜†

all that remains is buying those frozen vegetables that you get in the grocery store πŸ˜‰ and put in on a boiling pan of oil(and Swad masala etc is also readymade πŸ˜† ), there was also a invention of a chapatimaker, pressure cooker πŸ˜‰

now come on uske liye bhi rona hai to, what use is the education πŸ˜‰ , invent something to make even that part easier πŸ˜†

when one gets educated, it is also a responsibility to use the education and invent new things, time to use the grey cells a little bit πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜†

thats actually boon to Men kind lolss but invention is no help if right amount of time and energy is not spend... grinding something without appo. water can blow up the mixie... it better handled by sensibilityπŸ˜‰. Ata is readymade but making the dough is some effort and right tenderous is priceless for rotis VS puris... electricity is added cost... grinding the ethenic way not only factos out electicity but bings in Maa key hath ka swaad pricelessπŸ˜†πŸ˜†

now all that remains is puting clothes in a washer, taking it out of a washer and put it in a dryer and perhaps folding it πŸ˜†

Ohh thats major effort, first smell the clothes to find out which need washing o just folding... then bringing them to washer..setting right controls.. waiting for less then 24 hours to move clothes to drier orelse clothes have divine smell attracting some women πŸ˜†πŸ˜† then get them dry... without tennis balls in drier folding is a nightmare... well i have easier way... negotiate with dry cleaners for 1 dollar per shirt.. buy 50 shirt on sale for 5-7 $... alternate them...so that each shirt is worn 3 times with help of cologneπŸ˜† not in summer though..hanger them after use.... 150 days set, 1/2 year all done in 50$ washing.. divine isn't it. Ladies clothing have no idea but laundary wala uncle will open to give deals πŸ˜†πŸ˜† toh covered. With saving electricity... rest small clothes.. ohh atleast that one can wash.πŸ˜‰πŸ˜†

Well if one likes them fine, but it takes 15 minutes for a dal and 15 minutes for steamed vegetable..watch news on net while cutting them πŸ˜†πŸ˜† easy job... some ready masala ...extra help if one wishes to have a rich dinner.πŸ˜† egg cuy masala is awesome just boil eggs and drop unsheeled eggs in gravy..with some random spices πŸ˜†

now come on uske liye bhi rona hai to, what use is the education πŸ˜‰ , invent something to make even that part easier πŸ˜†

No rona boss .. bass responsibility share karna... to add get cleaners twice a week sarri pareshaniayoo sey muktiii... its time to ask where is the pay check lolssssπŸ˜†πŸ˜† why hous are less?? lols omg..🀣well am talking out of experience... but learned from dukhi men on the grill πŸ˜† my views might change in few years par khud key liye bhi things adapt karni padhti hai..toh no problems..

Its all in humor πŸ˜†πŸ˜† don't show this post to my tobeπŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜† pls ..😳dushman ho kya dost hooo πŸ˜†

Edit - rectified "r" and "n" key not woking with just one press of the buttonnn.πŸ˜†
